Personal Description:
I am a forty-two year old male, who has lived and worked all over the world. I only teach English as a Foreign Language, and I will only teach adults (16+). I live in Southampton, and am prepared to travel if required. I am available most of the time, including weekends if necessary.
My interests include football and sailing.

Teaching Experience:

I have previously taught adult students as follows;
1. In Prague (Czech Republic), mostly at beginner and intermediate level.
2. Fijian adults at intermediate and advanced level.
3. Polish adults at all levels.
4. Arabic adults at intermediate level.
I do not teach any other subjects so EFL is my speciality.

Tutoring Approach:

I have used most of the popular workbooks before, but I am happy to teach to a syllabus of the student's choice. I try to make all lessons as contemporary and enjoyable as possible (I have even taught in a pub), but am happy to adapt to the student's needs as necessary.

I am happy to offer significant discounts to the advertised rates for block bookings paid in advance.

Personal Description:
I am a French native and have been living in England since 2006. I studied and obtained my French degree at University in France. I have also completed a course to teach French as a Foreign Language.

Teaching Experience:

I worked two years in Northampton School for Girls as a french Language Assistant. During and since this time, I have also provided French tuition through Language Schools and privately for students and adults.

Tutoring Approach:

I focus on the speaking for the students to be able to use the language effectively, while integrating grammar, vocabulary, writing and reading. I use all sorts of documents (images, dialogues, flash-cards,...), either on printed sheets or interactively. When appropriate, I like to use sound materials as it is a good way to get familiar with the sounds and intonations of the language.

Personal Description:
I work as a Solicitor, working in a busy High-street Firm. I have been working for 10 years. I have been tutoring for the past 7 years and it is something I enjoy immensely.

I am able to obtain all exam papers and mark schemes, in order to help the students.

I am very patient with my students and can keep a calm temperament. I will assist my students in any way possible, in order for them to reach their maximum potential.

As a person, I am very approachable and like-able. This is also my approach as a tutor as I aim to make my students feel comfortable. All the students I have taught have provided me with positive feedback, as they have enjoyed sessions and feel they can relate to my style of teaching.

I am also able to provide sessions in order to assist with coursework deadlines etc and general English speaking and writing.

Teaching Experience:

I have been tutoring for 7 years, with a wide-range of students, from GSCE to Degree level. In addition to this, I have continued tutoring my younger brother, who has now completed his LLB and he further provides me with constructive feedback and the up-to date course material.

I have taught around 40 students, with varying abilities levels, although I have succeeded in helping them improve.

Tutoring Approach:

I take tutoring very seriously and approach each student on their own merits. I am recently qualified I'm my area for work, therefore my approach to teaching is relatively up-to date and contemporary. My recollection of School confirms that the classes in which I excelled, were the ones where the teacher would take an active-role in class. I have incorporated this into my teaching method. I have an individualised teaching approach and adapt my style to the student's needs.

If any students require one-off sessions, for help with coursework or exams, I am able to provide this.
With the exam period forthcoming, I have experience in going through exam techniques and revision methods.

Personal Description:
I am a Master of Arts graduate of Choreography and a Bachelor of Arts graduate of French language and literature. My mother tongue is greek but I am also a native speaker in english because I was born in Australia. I live in London and don't mind travelling within London. I am friendly, communicative and very outgoing so feel free to contact me for any tuitions :)

Teaching Experience:

Teaching is one of my favourite activities because it is a way to share my knowledge with young people and also with adults. I have been teaching various subjects since 2006 which include dance, french language, greek language and english language. I always have my classes organised to achieve the goals that my students have in a specific amount of time, not time-wasters please:) I am currently a Visiting Lecturer in Universities.

Tutoring Approach:

Tutoring for me must have a methodology and a structure. It always depends on the needs of the student, the goals and the time available. As long as you know your aim, we can work around it together.

Personal Description:
My background is in languages and performing arts. I began studying
English at age 8, French at 13, German at 15, and have been
self-taught in Spanish since age 10. I come from a family with a
long tradition in teaching and have always been encouraged to study
and learn, while at the same time inheriting and developing a strong
capacity to explain, train, and encourage.

Teaching Experience:

Since graduating from my Master's course in 2011 I have been working
as a self-employed language tutor in and around London and have
always received more than positive feedback from my clients. My
tutees' ages range from four to seventy-four and I constantly
endeavour to improve myself and adapt my teaching method to my
clients' needs.

Tutoring Approach:

Although I learned all my foreign languages through a rigorous method very much based on writing and grammar, I am happy to adapt my method to my pupil's needs. Personally, I believe that conversation is the key to becoming fluent in a language, but at the same time I do not neglect the importance of writing and reading comprehension. I therefore aim to split my lessons as evenly as possible between speaking, reading, listening comprehension, and writing assignments.

Personal Description:
I am an inspiring, qualified and experienced Spanish and French teacher. My enthusiasm and patience motivates pupils to achieve their full potential and to understand concepts they may struggle with in school. My years of experience as a classroom teacher has allowed me to try and test techniques to ensure pupils make progress from Year 7 to A-level and beyond.

Teaching Experience:

I qualified as a teacher in 2012 and I have taught French and Spanish from Year 7 to A-level in a secondary schools for four years before becoming a private tutor. Over the past decade I have taught pupils languages out of school for both GCSE and A level. Additionally, I have helped my tutees get the desired GCSE or A level result; beit a grade 4 or A grade at A level.

I ensure students fully understand the requirements for AQA and EDEXCEL exam boards for the new GCSE and A-level. I regularly assess and monitor my students' progress and set them achievable targets. I am in regular contact with students' parents so they are aware of their child's progress and targets.
Prior to qualifying as a teacher I was an English as a Foreign Language teacher for 2 years and have tutored for a year and in the summer I mark A-level exams for EDEXCEL

Tutoring Approach:

I ensure lessons are tailored to meet individual needs and use a range of resources in each lesson. Pupils are set targets which they work towards and I guarantee that my tutees do make progress. Lessons are engaging and cover all four skills; reading, writing, speaking and listening as well as grammar. In addition, I expect pupils to complete independent learning tasks (homework) so they can make the most of tutor contact time. My tutees benefit enormously from the one-to-one contact time and grow in confidence. Each of my lessons is structured based on the tutee's immediate needs and areas for improvement. I am also available to tutor online via Skype

Personal Description:
I am a 45 year old successful tutor offering classes in Spanish language and culture, French and English as a foreign language (EFL). I hold full membership of the Chartered Institute of Linguists for both Spanish and French which is a mark of recognition for my advanced language skills and I also work in Secondary schools in South East Wales on a supply basis.
I have a first degree in Modern Languages (French and Spanish) from the University of the West of England Bristol and a CELTA TEFL certificate to teach English as a Foreign Language. As a freelance tutor I am very focused on helping students fulfil their potential and I am constantly aquiring new innovative materials, espcially online resources which I feel will be of use to my tutees.

Teaching Experience:

As well as having a postgraduate degree in translation and interpreting from Alicante University, I have lived and worked in France for two years and Spain for twenty years, where had diverse roles both in business and in language schools. In Spain in particular I worked for many years in two private English Language Schools, the "Centro de Estudios Europeos" in Cartagena (Murcia) and "Studio 3" in Alicante. Currently I am tutoring mainly beginners level adults in Spanish, although throughout the year I have GCSE and A level students, who are always pleased to have extra support out of school.

Tutoring Approach:

Do you need individual conversation classes for GCSE? Would you like to know how to communicate effectively in Spanish or French for your next holiday? Do you have a language component of an undergraduate degree which you find challenging? I am the solution to your problem! Not only do I go though the class materials with you, I also pay special attention to homework correction and help with vocabulary memorizing techniques.
As a freelance tutor I am very focused on helping students fulfil their potential and I am constantly aquiring new innovative and interactive materials for my tutees, including apps and games which reinforce knowledge.
My approach to tutoring, in a nutshell, is to mix fun exercises with detailed understanding of the fundamentals of the subject you wish to progress in. Please get in touch and we can talk about your specific needs!

Personal Description:
I am an English native speaker and I have a degree in French and English, a Masters degree and a PhD. I have taught in primary and secondary schools and I am now a university professor specializing in teaching the French language, literature and culture.

I offer in-person or online 1-1 tuition in French and English for primary and secondary, including GCSE and A level for AQA and Edexcel.

I also offer tutoring for learners of English as a second language, native speakers who need additional support for school, and adult learners.

I offer primary Maths tuition to support children to be confident in their Maths skills and find enjoyment in the subject.

I am also a competent musician with Grade 8 in three instruments and have experience of teaching children and adults to read music and play the violin, recorders and oboe.

"Charlotte has been a fantastic tutor for our son. He has gained a lot of confidence, consolidating his knowledge and understanding. Charlotte has helped him moving from someone who hasn't particularly enjoyed French and had grade 6-7 in that subject to someone who eventually achieved a grade 9 (dropping only 11 points out of 280) in his French GCSE and became really enthusiastic in learning the language. We fully recommend Charlotte and will always value her contribution".

"Thank you for being such an inspiring English tutor and keeping me focused and on task for my GCSE. I always felt I could ask if I didn't understand and your explanations and examples were brilliant!".

Teaching Experience:

I have been a language tutor for 20 years and I have experience of teaching French and English to people of all ages and abilities.

I have taught in schools, tutored primary and secondary English and French for GCSE and A level, teach French at university level, and have taught adult learners at all levels for different purposes.

I also have experience of tutoring primary Maths, and music at all levels.

I tailor materials to each student's individual needs and these are all included.

References can be provided from current and past students.

Tutoring Approach:

I am friendly, patient and encouraging. I tailor my tuition to the needs of each individual student and provide regular progress updates.

I teach from my home in Forton, Lancashire or I may be able to travel to you.

I am also available to teach online on Zoom or Teams.

Would you like the same SUCCESS? So, read the testimonials on my website, have a good look around the site and get in contact!

I would love to HELP you obtain your *DREAM*.

Look forward to working with you.

Fatima

Teaching Experience:

I specialise in English for Academic Purposes (IELTS, Cambridge Exams), Business English and Conversational classes. Using the communicative method, I ensure that my students are fully immersed in the language.

Not only do I help my students to make an impact on their careers, but I also provide extra-curricular activities, that enable them to enhance their soft skills, as they become more tolerant and are open to working and living in an inclusive environment.

As a result, my teaching methodologies have been featured in the press and media for their unique effective approach to language learning.

Tutoring Approach:

I empower my students, so that they are able to interact in English proficiently and make an impact: live and work in the language with greater ease, pass official Cambridge Exams and gain entrance into higher education programmes - whilst optimising their confidence to understand and be understood.

I help my students in the following ways:

-To learn how to SPEAK English in order to maintain a conversation, present a Business case and/or pass a job interview; whilst learning how to apply phrasal verbs, the correct vocabulary, in addition to the appropriate tense.

-To apply the correct reading, writing, listening and speaking techniques required, in order to pass their exams with flying colours!

-To build their confidence whilst maintaining an English Conversation.
Perfect their English pronunciation and fluency.

I HAVE HELPED MY STUDENTS TO BECOME BETTER SPEAKERS OF ENGLISH, TO FEEL CONFIDENT WHEN ENGAGING IN THE LANGUAGE, IN ANY GIVEN SCENARIO - PROFICIENTLY.

Personal Description:
I am a television producer who is currently looking to build upon the work I have previously done in education. I enjoyed school and learning, but I realise that I was fortunate enough to experience an ideal set of circumstances (including good teaching) and that many people find studying difficult, challenging and/or unenjoyable.

I really love working with people to plug the gaps in their knowledge and/or formal education, and I take a person-centred approach to finding what's right for each particular individual. I believe that this style allows people to feel empowered, makes things "click" in a way that is natural to the individual, and ultimately allows that person to walk away with a feeling of satisfaction and confidence in their abilities.

As a TV producer, I have worked around the world with a multitude of different types of people, and I pride myself on the ability to connect with individuals from all walks of life. I am half Spanish, so have always had a knowledge of and been surrounded by the language. I am currently working on perfecting my fluency, so am working through the formal qualifications this year, currently operating at Pre-Advanced (B2). At this level, I am more than equipped to tutor in Spanish up to A Level.

Teaching Experience:

I trained in dance from the age of 3, and when I was about 13/14, started helping with the teaching of the younger children at the school. This was where I discovered my passion for helping others to learn. I took a huge amount of pleasure in helping people figure out a way to finally crack something they'd been finding difficult.

When I then went to uni, I spent my spare time working at Salford Young People's University to lead marketing and radio production workshops, amongst others. Upon leaving education, whilst trying to start my career as a television producer, I worked part time in a local high school as an administrative assistant, exam invigilator and cover support officer, covering classes when teachers were absent. Having obtained majority A grades at school myself, I found a great deal of joy working across all national curriculum subjects to help students complete their work and understand things that they were finding tricky.

Over the last decade, I have spent a great deal of time outside of my day job leading workshops in schools, universities and other teaching organisations to inform, educate and empower young people to pursue a career in television. I have also mentored upwards of 80 individuals, each time taking a person-centred approach to figure out what is right for that particular person. My mentees describe me as someone who is gentle, patient, knowledgeable and inspires confidence. There are testimonials from some of my former mentees. I understand the importance of finding the right tutor, and am happy to supply a full CV prior to commencing any tutoring.

Tutoring Approach:

I love working with people to plug the gaps in their knowledge and/or formal education, and I take a person-centred approach to finding what's right for each particular individual, i.e. I do not follow a set formula with every person. I believe that this style allows people to feel empowered, makes things "click" in a way that is natural to the individual, and ultimately allows that person to walk away with a feeling of satisfaction and confidence in their abilities.

Ideally, I'd have students bring homework they are struggling to complete so that we can work through it together, but if that is not an option, I am very happy to discuss the individual needs and then find appropriate resources. I am happy to work either online or in person.

Testimonial from Spanish tutee:
"I absolutely loved my Spanish lessons with Melody. She prepared bespoke pages for me which we worked through, and gave me little tips and tricks to remember things that helped to improve my Spanish tremendously. She also provided me with extra activities (like watching specific music videos on YouTube) to do outside lessons that further improved my Spanish."
