I have an MA in Classical Philology and Russian Studies from the University of St Petersburg and am qualified to teach Russian, French, English and Latin. Since graduating in 1978 I have worked extensively in language teaching and translation / interpreting. I have also worked in France for 3 years and attended an interpreting school in Paris (ISIT - Institut Superieur d' Interpretation et de Traduction). I also hold a Diploma in Public Service Interpreting (DPSI in Law) issued by the Chartered Institute of Linguists and am a member of the National Register of Public Service Interpreters (NRPSI) and of the Chartered Institute of Linguists (CIL).

I am a well travelled 50 year old who spent most of his teaching career teaching in Asia, I am TEFL qualified and experienced in teaching at Elementary level and adult Business skills level. I have written a travel book and am currently writing children's books along with a Motorcycle racing biography . I am free during the day and some evenings. I work from home and home can be our quiet little place in the hills in the nature which I love. I have 4 children and am very patient with them as they are my main students. I'm a Music Graduate, and will soon be a Philosophy Graduate [Edinburgh Napier University and University of Wales TSD, respectively]. I work in the third sector covering off humanitarian needs in Africa, Animal welfare in Asia and the care environment/Homelessness in the UK.
