I am an experienced and successful assistant examiner for a major exam board for A Level French and have marked German and French GCSE in the past. I grew up in the UK and then worked in Indonesia for 10 years, teaching Indonesian scholars on pre-departure academic programs. I also taught cross-cultural and study skills courses. After Indonesia, I moved to Australia, where I worked at two universities in Brisbane, the University of Queensland and Queensland University of Technology. A current A level tutee of mine told his father "I learnt more in that 2 hour session than I have all term at school" and his headteacher wrote to congratulate him on his improved grades. Hello my name is Anne-Marie, I am from Ireland but have been living in the UK since 2004. This is now a place I call home. I realised I had a flare for imparting knowledge when I became a basketball trainer at 15, working with Primary and Secondary pupils. Tutoring Approach:
I tailor the lessons to your needs and wishes. I have an "activity based" and a "communicative" approach, which make you learn a language through discussions and what interests you most but it could also be games, challenges, debates, recipe, studying films and books if you wish !

First of all , we will have a conversation to getting to know you better, where I could evaluate your level and what do you wish to work on the different skills to learn a language according to your needs and your goals:
- Speaking: the best way to learn a language , with different topics you are interested in, using videos, films, musics, art, books, articles, etc…
- Listening and Reading to work on your pronunciation and your understanding using as many materials as you need: musics, news, films, texts etc...
- Writing, on subjects according to your goals, to work on your grammar and vocabulary. You can choose to work on specific points with exercises or also by having fun with games and challenges , there is so many different ways to learn a language!

I am qualified and have the experience to work with children and adults at any level , as to prepare any exams in National 5, Highers, Advanced Highers, GCSEs, AS and A levels.

Hello! I´m Matt, a qualified Spanish teacher from Belfast. I hold a Master's degree in Teaching Spanish as a Foreign Language and a PGCE in Modern Foreign Languages. Over the past decade, I have gained extensive teaching experience in both the UK and abroad, including five years in Spain. My experience spans teaching students from primary school through to adult learners, both in classroom settings and online environments. I have also collaborated with academic institutions such as Queen's University Belfast, leading workshops for PGCE students. In addition to my teaching qualifications, I have managed curriculum development, welfare, and safeguarding responsibilities for summer programmes, demonstrating strong leadership skills. I am currently focusing on providing high-quality tutoring services online, while also exploring ways to grow my educational business.

I am a native English speaker and CELTA-qualified teacher with extensive experience teaching both English and Spanish. I hold a PGCE in Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), and I recently completed a Master's in Teaching and Linguistics. Additionally, I am a degree holder in Spanish with a certificate from the Instituto Cervantes, showcasing my deep understanding of the language and its pedagogy.

Throughout my career, I have worked in various educational settings, including language academies in both Spain and the UK, as well as extensive online teaching experience. I have also served as a GCSE and A-Level examiner, which has given me invaluable insight into the examination process and what students need to succeed.

Beyond teaching, I have held roles as a Safeguarding Manager, where I ensured the safety and well-being of students in educational programmes. I have also developed learning resources, worked with academic institutions such as Queen's University Belfast, and led workshops for trainee teachers.

With my diverse background and dedication to language education, I offer a well-rounded, professional, and personalised approach to help students achieve their goals.
