This involves developing KS4 lesson plans, reviewing and improving existing lesson plans, and marking exam papers. I am excited to develop new teaching strategies that I have learnt work best for me over the years, but I will always prioritise the student's understanding first. If it doesn't quite click using one way of explaining - don't worry! We will explore new and different ways to approach the question.

Tutoring Approach:
I love personalising my lessons to the student's wants and needs, with a special emphasis on encouraging confidence in students. Never be scared to ask a question and have a go, and trust your instincts too! I teach the key theories behind questions which allows you to add new ways to approach unseen questions using your whole arsenal of weapons you subsequently have at your disposal. I use a combination of teaching by examples, as well as setting independent practice questions which we can go through if there are any difficulties.

I am currently an undergraduate student at the University of Oxford studying Philosophy, Politics and Economics. I achieved 3 A*s at A-Level in Maths, Politics and Economics, as well as 8 Grade 9s and 2 Grade 8s at GCSE. I am strongly committed to academic success and hugely passionate about teaching. Hello, My name is Lincoln, I graduated from Heriot-Watt University with a degree in Mathematics and Computer Science. I am presently a master's student at Newcastle University, pursuing a master's in Applied Mathematics. I worked as a teacher assistant during my school days in Math classes and supported students who had difficulties with the subject. I think Mathematics is accessible to all; we only need to discover the best methods of presenting the concepts as educators.
