During the first session I present a short questionnaire that I ask the student to fill in (honestly!) in order for me to assess their individual learning styles (right brain vs. left brain, use of visual stimuli etc), so that I can respond best to their needs. I also incorporate exam-style questions where relevant, ensuring students develop both knowledge and technique.

My teaching style is patient and student-centred, and I adjust explanations to suit individual learning styles.
