"Matt only got an E grade in his February A2 mock exam and the school predicted he would get a C grade at A2. With the significant assistance from Ian, Matt achieved an A* at A2. Matt was initially very apprehensive about being taught on Skype rather than in person. But Skype proved really beneficial. After graduating from the University of Birmingham with a 1st Class BSc Hons in Economics, I worked as an ICAEW Chartered Accountant at professional services firm, PwC.

I'm currently studying for a BSc in Economics at Durham University, where I'll be entering my second year after achieving a first-class average in my first year. Before university, I achieved A*AA at A-level in Economics, Mathematics and Chemistry, alongside an A* in an EPQ exploring the economic impact of AI on the UK economy.

I've always been fascinated by how the world works, which is what drew me to Economics. I particularly enjoy macroeconomics, microeconomics and financial markets, and I love following economic news and seeing how the theories we learn apply to real-world events.

Outside of my degree, I play football for my college team, and I'm also interested in personal finance and investing.
