Mathematics can be a difficult and boring subject. However, I do my best to keep the concepts and logic simple and easy to understand. Furthermore, I have been volunteering for over 6 months as a GCSE Foundation Maths Curriculum Administrator at an organisation promoting increased opportunity for students from disadvantaged backgrounds. This involves developing KS4 lesson plans, reviewing and improving existing lesson plans, and marking exam papers. I love personalising my lessons to the student's wants and needs, with a special emphasis on encouraging confidence in students. Never be scared to ask a question and have a go, and trust your instincts too! I teach the key theories behind questions which allows you to add new ways to approach unseen questions using your whole arsenal of weapons you subsequently have at your disposal. I use a combination of teaching by examples, as well as setting independent practice questions which we can go through if there are any difficulties.

Hi, I'm Yash and I'm in my 1st year of University studying economics at the University of Nottingham. I have recently completed my A-levels achieving A*AA in Maths, Economics and Chemistry respectively from the Skinners' School. I have a passion for teaching and am particularly familiar with current GCSE and A-Level content and concepts, as I myself have recently studied these specifications in depth.

Teaching Experience:
I am extremely flexible in my teaching style as I realize it is important to adapt my methods to the needs of my students. I have taught various subjects as a private tutor since 2021, but I specialise in Economics. My lessons are highly interactive for maximum engagement, and I generally require students to have an iPad, tablet, or touchscreen laptop. In all initial lessons, I discuss with the student and/or their parent the student's needs and goals, identifying any weak spots in content knowledge or technique.
