I currently teach ONLINE and offer the FIRST HALF HOUR FREE as a goodwill gesture and I am also trained as a secondary school teacher and am up to date with the current exam requirements. I also charge 45p per mile round-trip and tutor online via SKYPE Web cam.

Although I am not a native French person I am a trainee French teacher and am a fluent speaker over the last 20 years, I understand that some people require a native speaker but not everyone can teach and I can prove my ability through my numerous high achievers and results. I am an excellent teacher and all my students grades get up to A* when they take my advise.

I am doing a PGCE in Teaching French in secondary schools and will complete in June 2020. I tailor my lessons via different types of presentations to suit the individual learner from my laptop and I am familiar with all exam boards including AQA, OCR, WJEC, Edexcel and Eduqas (new GCSE exam-board) etc. I also use a range of textbooks depending on the students requirements. Hi I'm Heather!

I hold a First Class Degree in English Literature and Drama from Manchester University.

I've been tutoring for nearly 15 years, working with students aged 6 years, up to 18, supporting them through KS1-4, GCSE and A'Level/IB curricula. I have also taught English as a foreign language. The content of my tutorials is entirely student- led; i.e I work towards the individual's goals and learning styles. I am experienced in the teaching of essay writing, exam preparation and textual analysis/understanding. The most important thing I can do as a tutor is to empower the student to feel confident in their own abilities and thoughts.

I have worked with students of A Level and GCSE in a diverse range of texts including Victorian Gothic literature, the American Novel, pre and post 1900 poetry, modern drama and theatre studies, post -colonial literature, dystopian literature. Tutoring Approach:
Although I learned all my foreign languages through a rigorous method very much based on writing and grammar, I am happy to adapt my method to my pupil's needs. Personally, I believe that conversation is the key to becoming fluent in a language, but at the same time I do not neglect the importance of writing and reading comprehension. I have a strong foundation in Film and Media, which is clearly exemplified by my degree and my experience in the media prior to becoming a teacher. A key focus within my degree was the making of new and innovative content for emerging new media technologies, digital broadcasting underlined by learning traditional narrative structures and learning the production process from pre-production to post-production for Film and TV. I've been teaching and lecturing for 15 years on different film movements and periods through early cinema to present day. I regularly analyse key film texts exploring all areas of film form and the aesthetical quality. I have a strong knowledge on the histrionics of film through intellectual engagement. My ability to teach practical filmmaking from production and post-production has driven my love for cinema. I am currently studying Biology, Psychology and English Literature at Churston Ferrers Grammar School in the UK and have a strong passion for my studies.
I'm very much into my sport and exercise, I play wheelchair basketball for Plymouth Fusion and enjoy going to the gym a few times a week for how it makes me feel. I'm an overall advocate for all people (but particularly young people) taking care of their own physical and mental health through the right activities and approach to life.
Also, I enjoy playing music, mainly singing, as well as acting. I have performed in various shows and concerts in my school throughout the years which is something I really enjoy and a great way to boost my own confidence.
