Her Theatre Company has been running since 1998 and has many stage, screen and open-air productions to it's name. She is a fully qualified Trinity Guildhall Examiner and works worldwide. Sarah was born in Brighton and attended Brighton and Hove High School & Brighton College, as well as being a student/teacher working for Carole Best at The Brighton School of Music and Drama since age 14. I am a professionally trained actor. I have written for numerous publications, with stories and poems published regularly. I am confident with public speaking, since I have been performing in diverse venues for nearly 10 years. I have an MA in Acting and an MA in Theatre & Performance Studies. I believe that Tutoring is first about personal connection. Any learning can only be achieved given a certain level of trust, which must be established in order to create a solid platform from which further learning can then flourish. Having myself struggled with poor teachers, or unwieldy subject matter, I know that, with the right teachers, such areas can come alive. Marco has during the Summer term of 2018 (6 weeks) tutored our son in year 11 for his GCSE's. His main subjects were Maths (higher level) and Physics (higher level).

- In spring 2019 I attended a 3 month international advanced training course on the Lecoq pedagogy of movement theatre led by master Giovanni Fusetti in Padua, Italy, which incredibly deepened and refined my understanding of the student/teacher relation and enormously widened the ways I can adapt and carry out a class according to the personality and the needs/goals of the students. 430h of training.

- Since I moved to London I have taught Italian to many people, students, casual learners, people seeking accents reductions....from an English couple who have travelled to Italy many times, are really fond of the culture but have never got down to learning the language, to a Japanese woman who lives in the City and has working relationships with Italy. - In 2008 I worked as a teaching assistant in a kindergarten in Reykjavk for 8 months. This kindergarten had a special program of integration between kids with special needs (especially hearing impaired ones) and kids with no special requirements, which showed to be very successful. Besides assisting the teachers in taking care of the children daily, I was responsible of having a short weekly session to introduce children to English as a foreign language through playing and singing, which turned out to be very appreciated and great fun.

Teaching is, without any doubt, one of the most important jobs ever. This might sound a cliche but it is what I really think. With almost 30 years spent as a student to gain two university degrees, I have encountered teachers form all over the world and experienced the most different teaching methods. A teacher can make the difference in a persons life, in a good or in a bad way. A good teacher can be a source of inspiration and can make you love a subject that you would have never imagined you could like otherwise. I now have retired from College/Theatre schools and concentrate on one to one Private tuition at my home. I have done this for three years. I was a Youth Worker in the evenings for approximately 18 years.

I am a freelance tutor, theatre director, producer and workshop leader based in London. Having graduated in Drama from the University of Bristol in 2012, I have been working for a range of different professional and youth theatre companies since.

As a director, I have worked on numerous plays and musicals with adults and children. I am currently director of a new musical at The BRIT School which will have a 3 week run at Southwark Playhouse this year, recently directed for Youth Music Theatre UK and am developing 2 new musicals. I am the co-founder and director of the theatre company OddFlock. In producing capacities, I have worked for the Battersea Arts Centre, Crow Theatre, Youth Music Theatre UK, Finborough Theatre and the Artsdepot.

My background is defined by a passionate love of drama, theatre and performing. From a young age I've participated in school plays and productions, from fashion shows to singing contests to performing in the Shakespearian School Festival.

After gaining my LAMDA (London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art) grades and medals, alongside my mandatory studies I embarked onto University to further train in the art of acting and theory of drama.

Since then, I have worked on the set of Coronation Street, Hollyoaks, Waterloo Road, Harry Hill the Movie amongst others as an extra, volunteered in schools helping with GCSE Drama Exams, helped out with school productions as well as a short stint at a casting agency - So when it comes to knowing what casting directors are looking for these days, I'm your girl!

Cut a long story short, I have now returned to my hometown of Lytham St. Annes, in my late 20's, offering private LAMDA tuition from home, and guess what, it's great! I purposely took my PreCertLAM in LAMDA, knowing full well that one day I would love to teach.

Tutoring Approach:
LOVELAMDA delivers one-to-one lessons in Acting, Public Speaking, Musical Theatre and Verse and Prose, from Grades 1-8 for students 8-18. For children 6-8 years LOVELAMDA offers lessons working towards introductory exams, which are a great foundation and prepare students with the essential skills required to partake in the higher-level grades.

At LOVELAMDA students get my un-divided attention. Each lesson is 45 minutes of 1-1 tutoring (this is all dependant on the grade level and may vary). This allows us to cover the syllabus, gain maximum feedback on their progress as well as allowing time for exercise outside of the LAMDA syllabus - focusing on character building, movement and stage presence, all key to building one's confidence and preparing them for the life beyond LAMDA and performance.

Our first session together (trial) will involve a short conversation with both parents and students, talking through your goals. From here we can explore and explain each syllabus (Acting, Public Speaking, Musical Theatre, and Verse and Prose) plus what's required for each to decipher what grade/syllabus we feel is best suited. All trial sessions are held online via Zoom.

LOVELAMDA suggests each student should have at least 20 guided learning hours for grades 1-5 and up to 90 learning hours for grades 6-8. Exams can be entered at any point in the year, seasonally at LAMDA's public centre in Blackpool. For example, students joining in September can expect to take exams around February, depending on ability.

18 year old A level student and high achiever at GCSE looking to help younger students.
I am currently studying Biology, Psychology and English Literature at Churston Ferrers Grammar School in the UK and have a strong passion for my studies.
I'm very much into my sport and exercise, I play wheelchair basketball for Plymouth Fusion and enjoy going to the gym a few times a week for how it makes me feel. I'm an overall advocate for all people (but particularly young people) taking care of their own physical and mental health through the right activities and approach to life.
Also, I enjoy playing music, mainly singing, as well as acting. I have performed in various shows and concerts in my school throughout the years which is something I really enjoy and a great way to boost my own confidence.
Finally, at the beginning of 2022, I began a YouTube channel with the aim of helping people start good habits (like that of studying) and build positive mindsets to approaching life in an enriching way.
