Personal Description:
David works as a Drama Workshop Leader and Acting Coach throughout Surrey and West London.
Teaching Experience:
David has taught drama at a number of schools and part-time theatre schools, as well as having over 20 years experience of coaching pupils for LAMDA drama examinations. As a Drama Consultant, David has worked in schools both running workshops and providing training for primary school teachers on the use of drama in the classroom. He has also lectured in Drama in the further education sector. Many of David's pupils have worked professionally. He is currently Head of Drama at a private preparatory school where he teaches from Reception to Year 6.
David has coached a large number of children and young actors, many of whom have worked in theatre, film and television, or gone on to full-time Theatre Schools, Drama Schools or University to train for careers in the performing arts.
Tutoring Approach:
David's drama lessons are popular with teachers and pupils alike. They involve the young people as the fundamental creative resource, actively combining the dynamic possibilities of children's physical and vocal skills and their imaginations.
