MANY APOLOGIES, I AM CURRENTLY ON MATERNITY LEAVE HENCE I DO NOT ACCEPT STUDENTS

Please, feel free to contact me to see my works - I will send you the link via e-mail.

Who am I? I am a creative female human being, who is about to graduate in BSc (Hons) Architecture. I have been:
• breathing for 23 years;
• creating art for more than 12 years.

I am a darling of fortune. I do what I love and love what I do. Moreover, in my case, it is the most precise definition of my future career. I am in a deep, incurable love with Rain, Poetry, Black Coffee, Philosophy, Books, Music and any manifestations of elegant, thoughtful and inspiring Design & Art in all areas of life: from the greatest "Bilbao-effect-Architecture" from Powers-that-be at all times (starting with Ancient innovations to Modern Deconstructionism) to the 50's rockabilly dresses in my wardrobe.

Teaching Experience:
Mostly, I privately tutored children every summer between 2005-2009, helped primary school teacher to prepare art classes. I am currently looking forward to expand age category of my tutees.
I am now starting tutoring again after a break (since 2009), therefore, references will be available soon.

Tutoring Approach:
Before I start tutoring I always prefer to arrange a meeting to have a chat about what your requirements/preferences/needs are first. Once this is discussed, I take couple of days to arrange a brief plan for our lessons, which will be sent to you by e-mail. That way we adjust it together and I have time to prepare helpful information/books/software etc. for you. Once it is confirmed we arrange the date for the first lesson.

Teaching Experience:
I have been teaching since 2009 and have vast experience with both children and adults. I have taught for schools, galleries, councils, courses and also privately. I can teach pencil, pen, charcoal, chalk pastel, watercolour, oil, gouache and acrylic paint. I have coached many students through GCSE art, A Level art and university portfolio submissions.

Feedback from customers:

"Thank you so much for helping my daughter get her portfolio ready, she couldn't have done it without your guidance and its been a pleasure having you in our home. Thank you!" - Terry, mum of Tara (16 years)

"I never knew there was so much to learn about art! My 2 children loving having their very own art tutor, its developed their ability and they can now do artwork with confidence" - Maya, mum of Nicola & Jake (10 & 12 years)

"Amber was recommended to me to help my son put a portfolio together in order to apply for graphic design BA courses. The catch was, there were only two weeks to do so. Amber introduced him to new techniques and media with which he was able to create great pieces of work, she advised him on the structure and the visual layout of his portfolio and how to make it look fit for university interviews. She was amazingly accommodating and flexible at all times. With her work, she not only inspired my son but the rest of us as well - She is an amazing artist indeed! most importantly, my son got offered and accepted a place in Falmouth Universtity (his first choice). He continues to explore the techniques Amber taught him and has got confidence to venture further afield with his art. I hope to have some tutoring from Amber for myself and my daughter in the future too. A truly inspirational, calm and relaxing art adventure. Thank you Amber! We were very lucky to find you." - Renata, mum of Lucas (18 years)

Tutoring Approach:
As a qualified teacher I have a very calm approach to teaching because the journey and the end result are as important as each other. I am able to encourage and support students to push past their personal creative barriers. I always bring a smile and a sense of humour to classes because its important for students to feel comfortable around me.

My fee always includes materials to save you time and money. I spend a lot of time planning and preparing so that the student gets the best from the time spent with me.

Personal Description:
I am an award-winning art educator, examiner, university lecturer, and practising artist with over 16 years of teaching experience across secondary, post-16, higher education, and private tuition.

I hold a Doctor of Education in Education, a PGCE in Secondary Art and Design, an MA in Creativity for the Professions, and a First Class BA (Hons) in Fine Art.

Alongside my teaching, I have worked for both AQA and WJEC Eduqas as an examiner/moderator, giving me an exceptional understanding of mark schemes, assessment objectives, portfolio development, and what genuinely secures top grades.

I currently lecture in Art and Design teacher education at the University of Chester while also running my own premium creative education business.

I have taught internationally in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, France, and Tuscany, and have supported learners aged 6 to adult across fine art, photography, textiles, mixed media, drawing, painting, animation, portfolio preparation, academic writing, and creative confidence building.

Whether a student is aiming for Grade 9 at GCSE, A* at A Level, preparing a university portfolio, building digital art skills, or rediscovering creativity later in life, I bring warmth, expertise, and clear, personalised guidance.

Teaching Experience:
I have over 16 years of professional teaching experience across schools, universities, examination boards, workshops, and private tuition.

My experience includes:

* Secondary Art and Design teaching across Key Stages 3-5
* GCSE, A Level, BTEC, and university-level supervision
* Examiner and moderator work with AQA and WJEC Eduqas
* Senior Lecturer and subject leader in Art and Design teacher education at the University of Chester
* Specialist portfolio preparation for university, foundation, and art school applications
* SEN-informed one-to-one tutoring
* Adult creative workshops and professional artist mentoring
* International teaching and creative education projects

My students have secured places on competitive creative courses, significantly improved predicted grades, built confidence, and developed outstanding portfolios.

Tutoring Approach:
No two learners are the same, so no two sessions should ever feel identical.

My tutoring combines expert teaching, examiner insight, practical demonstration, and genuine encouragement. I quickly identify what is holding a learner back, whether that is technical skill, confidence, organisation, portfolio structure, annotation, critical writing, or understanding assessment criteria.

Sessions may include:

* Live demonstrations and practical technique coaching
* Portfolio and sketchbook reviews
* Examiner-led feedback using current assessment criteria
* Digital art and animation mentoring
* Photography composition and editing support
* University interview and portfolio preparation
* Academic writing and reflective annotation support
* Confidence-building for anxious or neurodivergent learners

My aim is not simply to "get students through" their course. It is to help them become confident, independent, creative thinkers who genuinely enjoy the process.

I have a range of 5 star tutoring reviews on Google.

Due to university commitments and examiner work, I now take on only a small number of private students each academic year.

Personal Description:
My name is Josephine and I'm 32 years old. I'm Danish but have lived in London since 2014 when I did my BA in Fine Art.
I have a Master's Degree in Animation Film from The Royal College of Art.
The past 8 months I've lived in Hebden Bridge between Manchester and Leeds to open our first Studio in FedUP Studio Lab, the production company where I work part time. My role is producer and assistant creative director. I'm a freelancer director in the company as well.
I'm currently living in London where I also arrange workshops in art and animation with galleries, UAL and FedUP Studio Lab. I'm enthusiastic, and I have a great love for knowledge and teaching as much as making films and art.

I enjoy tutoring because the process between student and tutor is wonderful. I learn just as much as my students and when you have worked hard for a while and start to see a shift in their behaviour when studying - understanding or producing - and they end up challenging you or teaching you instead, that is absolutely fantastic. It is the curiosity, development, hard work and shared knowledge.

Teaching Experience:
For the past 3 years I have done several workshops at Chelsea College of Art and Design in Fine Art for their 1st and 2nd year students.
I'm currently managing and teaching workshops for adults in animation as part of FedUP Studio Lab.

I have many years of experience teaching and tutoring. I always follow through and I have happily seen my students come out with high scores, diplomas or perfect portfolios, getting into their dream college.

I have taught art and creative writing at the Baytree Centre in Brixton, a women's centre. I taught 11-15 year old girls.
In Denmark I was a substitute teacher at a public school for 2 years. I taught primary and secondary students in Danish, History, English, French, Music, Art and Crafts.
Over the years I have assisted a Danish artist in teaching art, craft and design to adults in short master classes and longer courses around Denmark.
For 2 years I have taught jewellery making in Copenhagen as part of my job in a big jewellery shop.
For 4 years I was head of a regional department of Red Cross Youth in Denmark where I taught my 20 volunteers charity work, management, activity and project management. Besides managing all of our services and activities, collaborating with all the public schools and libraries and running the department in close communication with our headquarter, I also participated in some of our school clubs and activities as a volunteer, tutoring kids and youngsters with dyslexia and kids from challenging homes.

Tutoring Approach:
Not one child, teenager or adult is the same. I believe in one-to-one tutoring so students get the special attention they require and get the best out of my lessons. My lessons are tailored to whatever the student require.

Depending on subject, the lesson-plan varies and the workload too. I make sure I know what the purpose of the lesson is so to understand what goal we want to achieve. Is it long-term learning, is it a portfolio with a specific deadline, or preparations for an interview. Is it more about giving a child the time and need to understand and enjoy learning or are we working from a school designed curriculum with specific topics, scores and exams. All of this needs to be taken into account to give the best tutoring and lesson plans with the best output.
I have helped school children, high school students and college students before, looking at past papers or portfolios they have completed, finding weaknesses or difficulties we have then targeted to improve their work and seen some remarkable results.
I understand how to take complex material and textbooks and turn it into digestible information.

Personal Description:
Welcome. I provide Art Tuition for children & adults of all levels, online and in person. I share with you my wealth of experience in teaching GCSE and A level Art and Portfolio preparation. I help you make Art progress in line with your creative goals.

Teaching Experience:
I`ve taught Art, Design and Photography for a wonderfully long time! first one to one lesson was in 1999, and I was an Art teacher in schools and colleges for over 15 years (I`m OGCE qualified). I have a wealth of experience in GCSE and A level Art and Portfolio preparation. In my 6 year role as Deputy Head of House, I worked in pastoral care and with those with SEN. I taught advanced life drawing classes at Ericaceous Art School in Dorking, worked for a special royal family, and also for Toyota, UK. Teaching Art is my true passion which I've honed and strengthened for over 20yrs. I`m as dedicated now as ever in sharing Art skills with creative learners.

I founded my art company in 2017 in Reigate. Over a few years I grew our community of like minded Art tutors and students coming together to share our Art passion. Outgrowing our first studio, Covid lockdowns created an opportunity to move to a beautiful studio space. We developed and diversified our Art tuition offering. We won `Social Impact` category at Reigate & Banstead Business Awards, and RBBC Entrepreneur Academy in 2022. As well as providing Art Tuition for over 100 students per week, we created murals, teamed with ESDAS, worked in schools and for charities, held Open Days and special Art events, and most importantly made connections with so many wonderful local families and individuals. I know anything is possible, failures are welcome, and we create our own definitions of success.

Tutoring Approach:
My experience of being an artist and mother is encompassed in my Art tuition.

Artist: I loved making when I was little, although my creations rarely won the many Art competitions I entered! I drew my dreams, my sleeping father, doodled in church, and copied cartoons. Then my Art education at school began. I graduated from Kingston University with an Illustration degree and a distinction for Life Drawing. I exhibited in West Sussex and in the Conningsby Gallery, London, and curated an Art exhibition in Carthage, Tunisia. I specialise in oil painting, have travelled extensively in Europe on location drawing trips, and I've been part of Surrey Artist's Open Studios. I paint regularly in my home Art Studio in Reigate; Art is a life time journey for me.

Mother: My daughters are teenagers now and it`s a privilege to have two girls with whom to share each and every day. Motherhood is an amazing experience which opened up my understanding of people and strengthened my teaching and learning methods. My gratitude and appreciation found new heights through my children. Whether they enter the world of Art, martial arts, or any other field, I`m glad to counsel them that love is not to be sought after but discovered within.
