I started working as a tutor in London and Surrey in 2013/2014, mainly for students who had been excluded from school. In 2015 I relocated and began tutoring private clients in East Anglia. -I like relating things to practical applications in the real world to make sense of topics. E.g I'll often use examples involving video games and flashy RGB custom computer rigs to engage teenagers studying computer science.

-Have taught a range of students. Some grasp a concept immediately and are able to visualise it easily and others that do not grasp concepts as easily. For those, I often revisit content and consistently quiz them.

-Have taught students with learning disabilities and have quickly adapted my style to suit their requirements, taking a calm, compassionate approach.

-As mark schemes seem to get stricter and stricter, I ensure my students hit the little details required to get all the marks and I provide nice ways of remembering the pointers.

My name is Benjie. I'm a recent Computer Science graduate from University of Highlands and Islands. I am excited about the opportunity to help others build their confidence in programming, mastering the school curriculum, or overcoming complex concepts.

I'm very passionate about many computing related topics, as well as working with people and understanding their individual needs.

I have experience in various programming languages (Python, JavaScript, PHP, Go, C, HTML/CSS, Visual Basic, Java), and other technologies (Databases, Linux, Networking, etc.).
I finished school in Edinburgh just over 4 years ago, so I'm familiar with the school system.
