I am a computer science graduate and have over 10 experience working within the IT sector as a programmer, Systems Analyst, Business Analyst, Database Developer and then as an IT consultant. Having worked in at least 6 different companies including the NHS, I currently work with a major Bank as a Business/Systems Analyst and Data Architect. As an Analyst and Architect, I am very methodical and logical in my thinking, which always helps when breaking down a problem to people (students) new to the concept. I am able to travel within Orkney, but will have to charge for travel expenses.

Teaching Experience:
I have helped friends learn programming and overcome computing concepts, and I'm excited to start tutoring and help other learn.

Tutoring Approach:
I will prepare individual lessons based on what students need to learn. The lessons will be paced to match a student's individual needs and learning styles, and I can be patient and empathise with anyone finding a subject challenging.

I aim to put strong emphasis on building students' confidence and making programming and other technical topics fun to learn.
