Having a PhD and a 1st Class Degree in Computer Science from Sheffield University, I have a great deal of experience in everything from general programming to academic research. Since 2018 I have been an official OCR examiner for GCSE Paper 2, and in the 2025 series I was graded as marking to an 'Excellent' standard.

My lessons are structured, focused, and results-driven. I combine clear, engaging teaching with targeted exam practice to help students develop both deep understanding and strong exam technique.

Every lesson includes:

Focused teaching on key topics and exam skills
Practice questions with detailed, constructive feedback

Lesson notes and resources sent after every session

I also provide exam marking and personal statement support. All lessons are delivered via Zoom with flexible scheduling to fit around busy student timetables.

Personal Description:
Hi, I am Daren, a University of Cambridge graduate with a Masters in Engineering. I am currently a full-time software engineer during weekdays and a math & science tutor in the evenings and weekend. I enjoy tutoring and sharing the knowledge, tips & tricks that I have gained over the years to make understanding difficult topics easier.

Teaching Experience:
I have experience in tutoring high school math & science in the past. I have also tutored briefly at University level.

Fun fact: I also volunteered to tutor music (guitar) at my local church during high school.
