I have a dual background in Electrical Engineering and Psychology and retired in 2007 after 20 years as a University lecturer. At different stages in my career I have taught telecommunications engineering, computer programming, software engineering, artificial intelligence and psychology. I have been tutoring students since March 2008 and am able to offer maths, physics and ICT from primary up to 'A' level, and general science (biology, chemistry, and physics) up to GCSE level. My teaching approach is clear, supportive, and straightforward. Computer Science is a content-heavy subject with many challenging concepts, so I focus on building
understanding through structured explanations and regular practice.
I use the FACE strategy to support student progress:
● Feedback - providing constructive guidance to improve performance
● Assess - identifying strengths and areas for development
● Challenge - encouraging students to think critically and deepen understanding
● Engage - keeping lessons interactive and motivating, both online and face-to-face

My aim is to build students' confidence, strengthen their subject knowledge, and help
them achieve excellent results in their examinations.
