The following steps outline the process of each tuition session:

Since then I've been working full time and have just finished a masters level apprenticeship alongside my work. I have never been a super forceful or strict tutor and think that trying to be too overbearing, particularly in sessions outside of or extra to school like tutoring, just makes people perform worse.
