I have worked in a wide range of schools, predominantly within the younger years, giving me broad experience across areas such as successful differentiation, progression, behaviour management techniques, and aspects such as working with children with SEN and learning EAL. Working within the international/independent sector has further ignited my passion for learning and teaching to the best of my ability. I enjoy working on a more one-to-one basis as I feel able to give every child the time that they need to make accelerated progress. I am highly thoughtful with my planning, and how I cater for individual children's needs. Feedback from parents is consistently positive and I try to make every learning experience interesting for the children I teach.

Current Secondary Science Teacher specialising in Physics and Biology, Master of Education from Cambridge University alongside PGCE and 14 year's experience both in the UK and abroad in both private and UK state schools.

I have held a variety of positions from Classroom Teacher up to Head of Department but with a young family I have stepped back from management for the time being. I teach at a local state school in North Tyneside.

Teaching Experience:
14 years teaching both in the UK along with 4 years teaching abroad. I am qualified to teach all sciences to GCSE and Physics and Biology to A-Level. I have worked with classes from 32 down to 1-2-1 tuition with significant value added to pupils from all levels of ability.

As different pupils learn in different ways I am happy to tailor my teaching style to fit the needs of the student. I work to ensure that there is understanding of the topic alongside just knowing the facts. I am up to date on current paedagogical research which I use to ensure that I am able to give the best to my students.

Passionate, experienced educator and Chartered Mechanical Engineer with an MBA from London Business School and a strong background in STEM fields.

Before tutoring, I worked in the city for large blue chip financial services organisations within technology and data architecture. And before that I worked for tech companies including Microsoft and Uber, taking some time to organise an expedition to Antarctica on behalf of HRH Prince Wales, the Commonwealth and the BBC. I've learned how to build and lead world-class teams and really enjoy bringing a love of mentoring into tutoring key subjects.

Beyond my work, I enjoy climbing and writing music, and I'm driven by a desire to help others succeed, both in the classroom and beyond.

I have also coached and mentored professionals throughout my career, guiding them through complex projects and helping them to achieve personal and team goals. My experience working with young people stems from my time as a mountain guide, where I took groups of children on outdoor expeditions, teaching them about the environment and leadership.
