I'm a qualified science teacher and Head of Science based in London, who currently teaches in a secondary school to students aged 11-18. I teach all sciences (Biology, Chemistry and Physics) to KS3 and GCSE (Edexcel and AQA specification), and teach A-Level Biology (OCR specification). I have a passion for teaching Maths, Science and English as they were some of my favourite subjects in school, and since it hasn't been very long since I've left my secondary education, I am well versed in those three subjects, science to a further level due to my degree. Hi, I'm Lisa. I specialise in Scottish Chemistry tutoring, supporting pupils through National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher Chemistry.

I graduated from the University of Glasgow with a First Class Honours degree in Chemistry, before completing my PGDE in secondary teaching.

I have also completed a Master's in Education as part of my ongoing professional development.

Teaching Experience:
I have 12 years of experience teaching Chemistry and 13 years of experience tutoring, both one-to-one and in small groups.

I tutor National 5, Higher and Advanced Higher Chemistry, and have supported a wide range of pupils with different confidence levels, goals and learning needs.

I also have experience marking for the SQA, which allows me to help pupils understand how to structure their answers clearly and maximise marks in exams.

I regularly use past paper questions to help pupils become familiar with the wording, structure and level of detail expected in SQA exams. I can also provide additional practice questions for pupils to complete between sessions, with feedback to help them improve.

I can also provide guidance and feedback on assignments and projects, helping pupils understand the requirements, improve the clarity of their explanations, and reflect on how to strengthen their own work.
