I have 30 years experience of teaching Chemistry and Biology at all levels up to A Level, and I am still teaching. This includes 7 years as Head of Department, and I am currently teaching A-Level Chemistry and Biology, plus Access courses, at a central London college.

I encourage students to ask questions, think independently, and learn from their mistakes in a positive environment. Whether a student needs help building strong foundations or aiming for the highest grades, I am committed to providing the guidance and encouragement they need to succeed. My aim is to make lessons engaging, effective, and focused on helping each student reach their full potential.I focus on helping students develop a deep understanding of maths and science rather than simply memorising methods. This allows them to approach challenging problems adaptively and perform effectively under timed conditions.

Personal Description:
I'm Ela and I'm a second year chemical engineering student at the University of Bath. I have always loved working with younger people and teaching. I am fluent in both Turkish and English so I can tutor in both languages!

Teaching Experience:
I have tutored maths and chemistry previously in my school, helping students do the questions they struggle with and go through topics they can't wrap their heads around. Alongside my degree I also coach gymnastics to children of different levels and ages. These experiences have taught me how to adopt different teaching methods to different kids and how to make sessions more fun and interactive!

Tutoring Approach:
We can discuss your goals and create a pathway on how to achieve these goals! I can also help and introduce students on different unis and uni courses as making a decision when I was applying to uni was quite challenging for me so I have done loads of research!
