After completing my D.Phil from the University of Oxford, I worked for 7 years as a Senior Biologist for a small drug discovery company where I was responsible for screening new drug targets in tissue models for human disease. Hey I'm Abdul. I'm currently studying Computer Science at the University of Leeds. I passed my 11+ and attended Wilson's School and I absolutely loved my time there. When studying for my GCSE's, I struggled quite a lot with Chemistry and so I decided to get a tutor. After a few months of receiving tuition, there was a noticeable improvement in my grades and I achieved a grade 9 in Chemistry GCSE and later on studied it for A-level and achieved a grade A. I was very thankful to my tutors and teachers as I could not have done well in my studies without them.

During my time at sixth form, I volunteered to tutor GCSE students in my school. I later on taught some students outside of school for 1 year and it allowed me to build a long term relationship with my students and be able to actually see improvements in their grades and confidence in that subject. In my free time, I enjoy exploring the green spaces of Alexandra Park, browsing the independent shops on Muswell Hill Broadway, and swimming. I recently completed the Parkland Walk challenge.

Teaching Experience:
I bring extensive and diverse teaching experience to my tutoring. I currently work part-time in a secondary school in North London, and have previously taught at a comprehensive in Islington. I have also completed supply teaching across London boroughs, as well as a valuable teaching placement in Birmingham. In my school roles, I have held responsibilities for curriculum developmentand year group mentoring, which informs my holistic approach to student progress.
