The tutor is the expert in subject knowledge and learning but it is the tutee who has the paramount role in their own education and excelling in their subjects. I firmly believe that the role of a tutor is that of a catalyst and the child's role in their own learning is of greater importance. I aim to guide the tutee to learn in a structured manner that so that the child does not waste their time jumping from topic to topic, randomly browsing a bit here and a bit there, as often happens. Honest school teachers will tell you that it is the noisy and disruptive pupils that get their attention, whereas the quite shy hardworking pupils tend to get neglected. Busy school teachers just do not have the time or energy to devote to helping their quieter or weaker pupils and it is these pupils that especially benefit from extra personal tuition. On the other hand a brighter pupil may be so far ahead of his or her peers that the teacher is just not able to give them the attention they need. It is never too early to start boosting a child's education. For primary school children it is important that they get a good start to their education and do not lag behind. A tuition boost will enable them to get into a better school or a higher stream set so that they do not have to struggle or get left behind when the come to do their GCSE and A Levels.

I also have experience of vocational courses such as the BTEC and Applied Science courses and I am able to provide the additional guidance and support required to ensure that your child achieves Distinctions rather than passes in their assignments. I bring over four years of teaching experience as a graduate teaching assistant, specialising in guiding first-year undergraduate students who are just beginning their journey in Psychology. During this time, I have gained extensive experience teaching a wide range of topics and modules within the Psychology degree program through interactive seminars and lectures. I am currently undertaking the Advanced HE Associate Fellowship to develop and demonstrate my teaching excellence.

A significant aspect of my role involves teaching students how to write academic essays that meet university-level standards, which differ substantially from A-level expectations. I am well-versed in the university mark scheme, having assessed and provided feedback on many different essays and practical reports. This experience has honed my skills in delivering constructive written feedback and conducting one-on-one feedback sessions to help students improve their work.

In addition to my role as a teaching assistant, I also have experience as a teaching demonstrator, where I provided hands-on instructions and facilitated practical sessions for second-year students. This role allowed me to engage students in experimental aspects of psychology to reinforce theoretical knowledge through practical application.

Furthermore, my ongoing PhD studies in Psychology keep me at the forefront of current research and methodologies which I incorporate into my teaching to provide students with up-to date knowledge and practices.

With a commitment to fostering a supportive learning environment, I am dedicated to helping students achieve their academic goals and develop a deeper understanding of Psychology. Teaching Experience:
I teach GCSE & A-Level online science and English lessons that are centred around mastering exam technique and each student's areas for improvement.

I have 3+ years of online tutoring experience, both GCSE and A-Level Science and English.

As I have completed A-Levels in both chemistry and biology, and achieved an A grade, I have abundant revision resources and an in-depth understanding of revision tips and tricks (that I've picked up over the years!) that will enable your child to succeed in their science learning journey.

Tutoring Approach:
My lessons are customised to each student's needs and will cover the topics they struggle with clearly and in detail. Exam technique is key for excelling in science, and this is what we'll focus on in my lessons. I will enable students to apply the content they learn in the classroom to an exam setting, as well as cover any areas missed by their teachers.

I also teach GCSE and A-Level English Literature / Language online. My lessons will enable students to write with confidence and fluency, as well as be able to analyse texts in detail. My lessons are tailored around each student's strengths and areas for improvement. Having studied English Literature at A-Level, and achieved an A*, I have a unique insight into how good grades are achieved in English.
