I am an independent tutor with a strong scientific background and have lived in England since Aug 1965. Most of my school and college education took place in Dudley (West Midlands) and I studied Biochemistry, at Leeds University (1975-8). I am married and have lived in Cheshire since Dec 1978. We have a son and a daughter; both graduated from Universities in Manchester. Following my voluntary redundancy from AstraZeneca, (Jun 2008), I am now a self-employed Tutor / Consultant. In addition, I am able to speak additional languages (Punjabi; studied up to GCE A-level and Hindi) and prepared to travel up to 5 miles. Teaching Experience:
During my long service in the Pharma industry (~30 years), I have run many short courses and workshops. During 2005/6, I mentored a pupil (Year 10/11) at St. Peter's High School, Longsight, organised by the University of Manchester. In the past, I have also been responsible for organising and running the weekly classes at the Sikh Temple (Gurdwara), for teaching youngsters the Sikh way of life & Punjabi culture, in helping to improve their knowledge and integration into the Western Society over a period of ten years.

I can provide tuition to individual students (or small groups) in the form of friendly, relaxed lessons. Teaching sessions are always customised to meet the specific requirement of the students. Hey I'm Abdul. I'm currently studying Computer Science at the University of Leeds. I passed my 11+ and attended Wilson's School and I absolutely loved my time there. When studying for my GCSE's, I struggled quite a lot with Chemistry and so I decided to get a tutor. After a few months of receiving tuition, there was a noticeable improvement in my grades and I achieved a grade 9 in Chemistry GCSE and later on studied it for A-level and achieved a grade A. I have been taught online as well as helped students online with interview preparation. Hi! My name is Amr, I am a qualified lecturer with and holds PhD and MSc in Pharmaceutical Scinces and Postgraduate Certificate of Education (PGCE). I have over 20 years of teaching experience in Science and Mathematics.

I am passionate about helping students develop confidence, deepen their understanding, and achieve their academic goals. Throughout my career, I have taught and supported students across a wide range of levels, from GCSE and A-Level.

My approach focuses on building strong foundations, improving problem-solving skills, and developing effective exam techniques. I believe that every student can succeed when given the right support, encouragement, and learning strategies.

Over the years, I have helped many students significantly improve their grades, gain confidence in challenging subjects, and secure places at their preferred schools, colleges, and universities.

In 2024 65% of my students achieved grades 7-9 in GCSE Maths and Sciences.
In 2025 some of my students joined Medicine, Engineering and Law.

Teaching Experience:
I am an experienced and passionate Maths and Science Tutor with extensive teaching experience across all three sciences - Biology, Chemistry, and Physics - including Combined Science at both GCSE and A-Level. Over the years, I have successfully taught students from a wide range of academic backgrounds and abilities, helping them build confidence, strengthen their scientific understanding, and achieve excellent examination results.

I am fully familiar with all major UK exam boards, including AQA, Edexcel, and OCR, which allows me to tailor lessons specifically to the requirements, assessment styles, and mark schemes of each specification. My teaching approach combines strong subject knowledge with exam-focused techniques, ensuring students not only understand the content but also know how to apply their knowledge effectively in examinations.

I have a strong track record of student achievement, with many students improving by at least two grades after working with me. One of my most rewarding success stories involved students who were initially predicted grades 3-3 in Combined Science and went on to achieve grades 7-6 in their final GCSE examinations.
Over the years, my A level students have progressed into fields such as Medicine, Dentistry, Mechanical Engineering, and Psychology.

I take pride in identifying individual learning needs, breaking down complex scientific concepts into simple and engaging explanations, and creating a supportive learning environment that motivates students to reach their full potential.

In addition to improving academic performance, I focus on developing students' confidence, independent learning skills, and exam technique. ​I operate a private tutoring business while also working as a tutor for a tutoring agency. My professional background spans twelve years of direct classroom and one-to-one instruction. This includes two years of experience as an educational practitioner teaching in China, followed by a decade-long tenure working in a school in London.
​My work involves supporting students through the full academic year, managing the transition from baseline assessments to final exam preparation, and providing consistent progress reporting for parents. I am experienced in guiding students through significant milestones, including the completion of the full GCSE exam cycle, ensuring they are prepared and organised for their assessments.

My tutoring is built on a structured five-phase framework that I have developed over years of classroom and one-to-one work. I focus on giving students a clear system to follow, which helps remove the anxiety often associated with exams.
