The jump to A level from GCSE is quite considerable and even the brightest students can struggle initially. Active recall is an important part of learning and consolidation, to ensure the content is properly embedded so there will be lots of engagement and questions in my sessions to check everything is being understood.

Personal Description:
I am a Liverpool-based Aerospace Engineering undergraduate at UWE Bristol with nearly six years of tutoring and education-support experience. I teach Maths and Science from KS2 through GCSE, with suitable A-level topics considered after checking the exact subject and content. I offer online tuition across the UK and in-person lessons in selected Liverpool areas.

Teaching Experience:
From August 2020 to June 2026, I worked as a Tutor and Education Support Assistant at The One Tuition Ltd. I delivered one-to-one and small-group tuition, prepared lessons, adapted explanations for different learners and communicated with pupils and parents. My experience includes Maths and Science across KS2, KS3, GCSE and A-level, alongside safeguarding, behaviour support and practical support for learners with diverse additional needs.

Tutoring Approach:
My approach is patient and structured. I identify the exact misconception, explain the concept clearly, model a worked example and use guided practice before gradually reducing support as the learner becomes more confident. I adapt the pace and explanation to the individual, check understanding regularly and keep communication clear with parents where appropriate.
