I live in West Cornwall with my young family, and currently work as a private tutor and academic mentor. Born in Brighton, it was there in 2009 I completed my teacher training and began a career as a science teacher.

Additionally, I hold an undergraduate degree in Genetics from the University of Liverpool, and a masters degree in Psychology from Abertay University, Scotland.

As well as my classroom teaching experience, I have worked as a laboratory researcher, science editor, and more recently as an independent advocate within the field of mental health.

I obtained a PGCE in secondary science from the University of Brighton, gaining qualified teacher status in 2009. During training, I taught at two West Sussex secondary schools. I'm a qualified science teacher and Head of Science based in London, who currently teaches in a secondary school to students aged 11-18. Recently retired. Until the advent of Covid I would always travel to the tutee. I was forced into online tutoring very reluctantly. Being happy with the technology meant the transition was much smoother than I anticipated.
I am now so happy with this method of tutoring I would even use it if the tutee was living next door.
