I am a London-based artist, with a BA from the Slade and an MA from the Royal College of Art. I exhibit regularly with galleries in the UK and abroad. Residencies include the Abbey Fellowship at the British School at Rome and Palazzo Monti. I have been shortlisted for Bloomberg New Contemporaries and the John Moores Painting Prize. In my studio practice I use a range of painting mediums and approaches, including oils, watercolour and fresco.

Hi, my name is China and I am a London based Artist. I have been an Artist for over 10 years now, winning competitions, exhibiting in London Galleries and creating commissions for clients. My practice is focused is on realism and I have ventured into other avenues of creativity such as scenic painting, storyboard drawing and restoration.
Despite gaining a BA Hons in Fine Art: Painting at Wimbledon College of Art, I feel my skills have not come from the educational system. I am mostly self taught with a couple of additional training workshops at atelier Schools such as the Academy of Realist Art and Edinburgh atelier of Fine Art.
I am able to achieve hyper realism and my most valued pieces are usually portraits, but I have experience in abstract paintings as well as landscapes and still lifes.

I am a professional portrait and figure artist. I specialise in a variety of mediums including pencil, pastel, and oil painting. I have been teaching for 5 years to private students varying in different ages ranges from 8 years old to 70 years. My method of teaching is always catered to the student's needs and abilities. For example, if a student is a beginner and they want to learn how to draw realistically, I would show them how to understand the principles before we try to draw straight away.

To understand nature, we must understand how to see in order to translate that onto our paper.
If a student is more advanced, we will look at what really inspires them and how we can push their abilities by looking at the finer details, whether that is refining a good drawing to become more realistic, the equipment quality, or the tiny nuances in the line direction that need tweaking. We should always keep pushing ourselves and learning from what we do so I fully encourage people to embrace their mistakes and enjoy the process over the finished result.

I have been drawing and painting professionally for 14 years. I will base my lessons according to your experience and wishes. During my tutoring time, I will provide you with a 45 min of knowledge and experience about pastels. We will learn about this medium and will experiment with different styles, I will share with you all the useful tips I learned from my own experience. You will learn how to professionally paint portraits with pastels whether it is a pet portrait, a people's portrait or a landscape. If you would like to paint the portrait of your own subject I am happy to use your photo as a reference, otherwise, I will provide you with a selection of topics/subjects which will help you to become more advanced and confident in working with pastels. For the first two lessons, I will provide you with all the professional art materials you need and then if you would like to carry on with your lessons I would give you a list of necessary items to get.

I am an RCA MA Painting graduate, and I have a BA(Hons) degree in Fine Art from Westminster University, and a Foundation diploma in Art & Design from the University for the Creative Arts. I am a practicing artist based in London, specializing in painting, and I have been showing my work nationally and internationally. My recent solo show was at Class Reiss London, and I also had a solo presentation at Art Athina. My fascination with tutoring derives from my sensitivity around learning disabilities, something which is a recurring theme in my practice as I grew up as a dyslexic learner, as well as my educational experience of being part of leading academic UK institutions.

Through my work as an art tutor I strive to inspire and support my students, offering insight to my experience as a RCA alumnus and to the professional life of an artist. Hi I'm Millie, I completed my BA in Art and Design at the University of Leeds in 2021 and have worked in arts education since. I love sharing my enthusiasm for art with others and expanding my own knowledge and practice wherever possible.

Teaching Experience:
I have been supporting and teaching art in special education settings for 4 years, as well as in art studios and to private clients. My teaching style blends theoretical and practical knowledge to provide an all-round art education. Taking sessions at the student's pace and personalising sessions to suit your interests is my specialty.
We will begin by establishing what your aims are for our sessions together. I then tailor the topics and artists studied to your art style and interests. I can share my teaching materials after the sessions as required so you can retain the information and refer back to it as needed.
