I currently Subject Lead in Art and Design in a secondary school in Bishops Stortford and have a first class honours degree in Illustration and extensive skills in digital media including web design, image manipulation and design for print. I see myself as a 2D specialist as I can do a number of different techniques and have an experimental approach to teaching Art. Every project is unique and I am constantly learning. I would work with the student to find out exactly what their special skill is in Art. Students will need to find a topic that inspires them and do some visual research on this and I would then help the students by teaching them a range of different techniques, learning how to draw in a number of media from pencil, chalk, oil pastel, pen and ink, biro and graphite and then teach them how to paint in gouache, acrylic, watercolour and use a mixed media approach. Textiles is also a medium I would offer students and basic construction techniques. Adobe photoshop skills is also important in developing photographic images as part of the development. Developing different skills until the student finds out what they particularly enjoy working with and helping the student to explore different media to extend their ideas and lead the students up to developing a final piece. The students would then have a whole project from beginning to end which will help with portfolio development.

Hi, my name is China and I am a London based Artist. I have been an Artist for over 10 years now, winning competitions, exhibiting in London Galleries and creating commissions for clients. My practice is focused is on realism and I have ventured into other avenues of creativity such as scenic painting, storyboard drawing and restoration.
Despite gaining a BA Hons in Fine Art: Painting at Wimbledon College of Art, I feel my skills have not come from the educational system. I am mostly self taught with a couple of additional training workshops at atelier Schools such as the Academy of Realist Art and Edinburgh atelier of Fine Art.
I am able to achieve hyper realism and my most valued pieces are usually portraits, but I have experience in abstract paintings as well as landscapes and still lifes.

To gain knowledge about the medium through experimentation, execution considering composition, and art elements as simple as lines that are essential and part of the creative process in learning aesthetics by exposing the students to look at various art forms and observe our daily grind from everyday life. Enabling students to communicate, to articulate the value art can give and impact our society. I want to facilitate learning and journey with my students to become independent, comfortable and satisfied with the creative process of creating their artworks innovatively. Recently, I have been researching and exploring digital means and understanding what this means in today's world and culture.

I am an experienced and enthusiastic art tutor, with over 15 years experience of devising and facilitating art sessions for a variety of learners, including primary aged children, secondary students, as well as F.E. learners.

I currently work in a primary school as an art teacher, developing and delivering inspiring, cross curricular schemes of work that offer children across the primary age range the opportunity to strengthen skills, experiment with their creativity and gain confidence in a variety of art forms.

I also work as a professional illustrator. In this role I have worked with many clients, including educational consultants as well as having my worked featured in editorial/electronic publications.

Through various positions, including art teacher and gallery-educator, I have worked with a variety of learners, from primary school classes, looked after children, as well as young people with additional needs. I have led activities in formal learning environments, as well as alternative settings: galleries, parks, and outdoor community spaces. Working with students, I offer clear learning goals based upon their area of interest/study.
Each session incorporates time to play and explore, as well as engagement in active learning and time to make links and change approach if necessary. Students are empowered to have high expectations of themselves and are key drivers in their own schooling, evaluating targets set and planning their next steps.

Hailing from a small town of Gondia, I started my journey as a student who was exploring himself through various experiences of knowing, believing and imagining. We all live stories, we all are stories and hence I am searching those stories and exploring myself painting every possible canvas.

Graduated as an Architect, I started working as a set designer with Art Director and Filmmaker Omung Kumar. A long-cherished dream of being a part of the Visual-Storytelling industry landed me to New York Film Academy, Los Angeles where I studied Film making- an absolute Visual Art form.

I have been an Associate Producer and Production Designer in an Indonesian web series '19 Letters' directed and produced by Dinda Unaroma.
I worked as a Graphic Designer, illustrator and Art Director in the prestigious US based magazines like 'Vanichi Fashion' and 'Impact Relevance Mag'

As they say ART knows no boundaries and I believe everything artistic is somewhat collaborative. During 2017 I along with my creative friends, we setup our own architecture and interior design firm 'Tales & Details'. In T&D we have been successfully delivering the hospitality and residential projects based in the city of oranges Nagpur.

One such venture I proudly cherish and co-own is an event company where we get to design and setup colourful and happy weddings and the other events.

I have been inspired by the literatures of various personalities like Candace Bushnell, Salman Rushdie, Paulo Coelho. Likewise Poetries of Rumi left a deep impact over my works. I also seek inspiration from my travel experiences.

I'm an experienced Art & Design teacher and former Head of Art, with many years of experience helping students develop their skills and confidence. I enjoy working with young artists to help them explore ideas, find their own creative voice and produce meaningful work that reflects their intentions.

I believe good tutoring starts with understanding where each student is in their development and what they want to achieve. My approach is supportive and encouraging, while giving students the guidance and practical skills they need to become more confident and independent artists. Seeing a student overcome a challenge, realise their ideas and grow in confidence is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching.

Teaching Experience:
I have 12 years' experience teaching Art & Design in secondary schools, including 3 years as Head of Art. I'm confident in the requirements of the major UK exam boards and have extensive experience supporting students through GCSE and A-Level Art, as well as GCSE Photography.

I now teach adults alongside tutoring and maintain my own creative practice, allowing me to bring both current practical experience and extensive teaching experience to my lessons.
