Ben progressed onto doing a Foundation Degree in Action Photography at Truro College where he specialised in sports Extreme Sports, Natural History, Social Documentary and Events Photography following this he began to prepare for a more commercial direction. Ben still maintained his roots in expressive art during the foundation degree but also developed his technical skills thoroughly, and this has been commented on though out his professional and teaching life.

In 2009, he progressed on to Plymouth University to study for his BA Honours in Photography where he achieved a (2.1) During this course, he spent time intricately studying the history of art and photography, and Ben spent many hours mastering skills in studio large and medium format photography. He concluded the year specialising in colour film, Medium format studio photography and focusing mainly on portraiture, with a project called 'The Paradox of Perfect Beauty'.

This study challenges the ideologies of what is defined as beauty throughout art history, sculpture, and figurative representation. It critically analyses the standardised figures and body shape used in art as well as in modern-day commercial advertising, fashion and other types of portraiture.

Ben worked for 3.5 years at an Apple APR shop in Guildford so has a very in-depth knowledge of Apple technology and software and during this time taught people of all ages to use Apple computer something he still tutors to this day in.

I prefer to teach over a 2-hour basis, and this allows for focused study and practical time of guided activity further to this I will travel for a lesson but ask that travel expenses are paid.
Lastly, due to previous experiences, I ask that 50% of the total job is paid upfront as a non refundable deposits on acceptance of the agreed package. I ask this due to the fact I have to pay the tutoring site based on the agreed amount a fee.

I have been tutoring photography from many years to all different ages and abilities from young kid's to University and Mature Learners, I started my teaching with teaching English in Thailand and working as an assistant youth worker and having to teach different subject and activities. I have a relaxed approach to teaching, trying to view someone's work objectively but giving prods and direction where needed. I like for my students to discover the answer themselves as this embeds the knowledge and allows them to master their subject. I have been a loyal student to BCU, where I obtained, both my Fine Art degree and my MA in Art and Education Practice. Planning for my PhD research study too. I became a practicing artist and researcher in the subject of Britishness and modern values since 2003. Working from my studio as well as researching . I am interested in culture diversity and community. I am quite focused on research and combining my work with strong evidence. I graduated from Wimbledon College of Art, (UAL) in 2012 with an MA in Fine Art and in 2011 with a BA in Fine Art.

My name is Josephine and I'm 32 years old. I'm Danish but have lived in London since 2014 when I did my BA in Fine Art.
I have a Master's Degree in Animation Film from The Royal College of Art.
The past 8 months I've lived in Hebden Bridge between Manchester and Leeds to open our first Studio in FedUP Studio Lab, the production company where I work part time. My role is producer and assistant creative director. I'm a freelancer director in the company as well.
I'm currently living in London where I also arrange workshops in art and animation with galleries, UAL and FedUP Studio Lab. I'm enthusiastic, and I have a great love for knowledge and teaching as much as making films and art.

I enjoy tutoring because the process between student and tutor is wonderful. I learn just as much as my students and when you have worked hard for a while and start to see a shift in their behaviour when studying - understanding or producing - and they end up challenging you or teaching you instead, that is absolutely fantastic. I`m a former Head of Art Department with over ten years teaching experience in a large comprehensive school, who has now worked for over ten years with two of the major UK exam boards as a GCSE Art moderator. I have a first class degree in both Art and English, and an MA (distinction) in illustration. I also work as a tutor for adult learners at The Royal West Academy in Bristol and offer workshops to communities around South Glos.

About me:

In 2014 I completed an MA in "Authorial Illustration" (with Distinction) at the University of Falmouth. Prior to that I worked as Head of Art at Didcot Girls` School in Oxfordshire for 9 years, before moving South towards Bristol where I began working as a tutor at the Royal West Academy in Bristol amongst other things. I have now just moved West to the Stroud area and am looking for new students and opportunities to share my passion for painting and all things creative. I have an up to date criminal record (DBS) check and I work as a GCSE Art exam moderator every summer so I`m very familiar with the latest requirements from the exam boards and course curricula. I am also an artist, selling paintings locally through various galleries, a writer and the illustrator of several published books. I`m the author of two books: `Soul Color, a ten week course on watercolour painting to cultivate creativity and mindfulness`, and `Earth Color, an eight week art course for nature connection`. Both are published by Liminal 11 in the UK and Sterling/un ion Square & Co. in the USA & Canada. I have a First Class degree in English and Fine Art from Exeter University.

I look forward to working with you and can be flexible about how, when and where we work together, according to your needs. I have a car and can travel to you if you are in the Nailsworth/Stroud area, or you can come to me. I may also be able to meet you in Bristol on certain days.

Personal Description:
I have a MA in Production Design for Film and Television from Kingston University and a BA Hons in Furniture Design and Applied Arts from Edinburgh College of Art. I have worked in the film and television industry since 2004. I lead large teams of specialist designers, art directors, junior assistants, crafts people and construction teams. And I collaborate closely with other experts within the industry including cinematographers, directors and screenwriters.

A production designer designs the worlds in which the TV Drama or film is set. That includes working with location people to choose locations in which to film - and building sets in studios. It can also involve working closely with SFX teams. The role juggles creative vision with practical project management. It's a collaborative media/ industry and relies heavily on communication skills- visual and verbal.

Teaching Experience:
I've tutored students looking to win a place in art schools/universities and specialist creative high schools. Students looking to better their results at A level, and I've taught larger classes of young adults in university and workshops. I help my four year old with his art and design too : )

Tutoring Approach:
My approach depends on the students needs and I am very flexible. I can work in a very focused way with the students brief on course curriculum. Or more loosely- developing verbal and practical skills for a portfolio for art school/media design or communication courses. I'm down to earth and structured in my approach.
