His humorous sculpture typically conveys a sense of the accidental, eternally on the brink of failure or collapse. Recent DIY apocalypses, created from expanding builders' foam, seem to have an unruly, malevolent life of their own and explore the processes of invasion and infection. While his films and writing play with ideas of chance, quotidian struggles, the loss of control and responsibility.

I have been teaching art for nearly 20 years. I teach drawing, painting and sculpture. I also teach papier-mâché technique to make masks and puppets.

I am a professional Theatre Stage and Costume Designer (M.F.A. graduated in 2004), and I have worked in many theatre productions in UK and abroad, as a stage, set and costume designer as well as a puppet maker. Seeing a student overcome a challenge, realise their ideas and grow in confidence is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching.

Teaching Experience:
I have 12 years' experience teaching Art & Design in secondary schools, including 3 years as Head of Art. I'm confident in the requirements of the major UK exam boards and have extensive experience supporting students through GCSE and A-Level Art, as well as GCSE Photography.

I now teach adults alongside tutoring and maintain my own creative practice, allowing me to bring both current practical experience and extensive teaching experience to my lessons.

My approach is flexible and tailored to each student's needs. I'm happy to offer a single session to help you overcome a particular challenge, develop an idea or get your work moving again, or provide ongoing support over a longer period.
