I am a London-based artist, with a BA from the Slade and an MA from the Royal College of Art. I exhibit regularly with galleries in the UK and abroad. Residencies include the Abbey Fellowship at the British School at Rome and Palazzo Monti. I have been shortlisted for Bloomberg New Contemporaries and the John Moores Painting Prize. In my studio practice I use a range of painting mediums and approaches, including oils, watercolour and fresco.

Teaching Experience:
I teach Drawing and Painting in all mediums. For eight years I was a Core Tutor on the Foundation Year at the Royal Drawing School (now part of the King's Foundation). This involved leading painting workshops, one-to-one tutorials and portfolio guidance.

I have taught art to people of all ages, though predominantly to teenagers and young adults.

Tutoring Approach:
My approach is to work out what the student's needs are, through listening, rather than trying to impose a particular idea. Having said that, I would generally encourage drawing and painting from observation, at least as a foundation for other projects. My strengths are in painting with water colour, oil and acrylic, as well as drawing. I was an art scholar at school, and studied Illustration (BA Hons) in Cambridge. Design and craft have always been a part of my career, but I began drawing again a few years ago now, during the evenings after my daughter had gone to bed and I was immediately reminded of the therapeutic effects drawing and being creative can be, especially for a creative mind.

I posted a couple on Instagram and they were sold within minutes.
