I currently Subject Lead in Art and Design in a secondary school in Bishops Stortford and have a first class honours degree in Illustration and extensive skills in digital media including web design, image manipulation and design for print. Particular strengths of mine are life drawing and painting. I also have skills in textiles, quilt making, sewing and other crafts. I often like to introduce my students to new ways of working by combining media in creative ways. I have a PGCE in Secondary Art and Design as well as an MA in Art and Design in Education. I have successfully led groups of students through GCSE and A level courses in Art, Design, Graphics and Photography for over 13 years. I enjoy the creative process, especially when it is shared with others and I pride myself on helping students achieve the highest levels in public examinations. My students regularly achieve A*/level 9 and in the June 2024 series one of my A level students was commended as receiving one of the highest marks in the country from the exam board OCR. I graduated with an MFA in Fine Art at Wimbledon College of Art in London and have a degree in painting and, diploma in art and design.

Much of my work is done through direct observation and I stress to students, the importance of this. A teacher with a degree in Photographic arts. Passionate and knowledgeable about digital and analogue photography, with the ability to teach post-production editing in Photoshop. I also do photography for my own enjoyment, specifically looking at landscape and architectural photography. I have freelanced previously as a wedding photographer but that life was just not for me as I much prefer teaching the subject as a career! I am very friendly and supportive of all my tutees and their parents.

I am currently teaching at a private school, teaching A-Level and GCSE Photography and KS3 Art. I have worked with AQA and Edexcel and I am up to date on my standardisation procedures for Edexcel examing board, most recently having been on a training course in November 2023. I am a visual artist, born and raised in Italy, currently living and working in London. I am a professional and practising international artist with experience in the art industry in the UK, Europe and Asia. I have an active studio practice and I work mainly with sculpture, casting, installation and analogue photography, but I have extensive experience in painting, printmaking, paper making, drawing.
I have also been working as a studio assistant for several internationally known artists both in the UK and in Europe and as a photographer's assistant.

I am Marcin Bernard, an artist and art educator who mainly specialises in painting and sculpting on wood and stone. I have been painting and sculpting since twelve years of age. I completed MFA in Fine Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts in Gdansk in Poland. I have currently moved back to the United Kingdom with my family and am loving in York.
I am passionate about creating art, and I would like to inspire and teach students to be creative and effective in art and use art skills in life.

I believe it is essential to impart the story of Art, its developments and its power over centuries till the present times. Art is still very much alive and able to revolutionise our culture that impacts our societies at a global level going beyond its aesthetic ability to communicate to the masses. I believe Art is taught better as a praxis where the practice and theory are equally essential to engage our students and better equip them to become artists with altruistic nature, identifying and developing their potential by providing them with guidance. I have also sought opportunities to employ innovative approaches to enhance the delivery of my art lessons capitalising on traditional and digital art techniques, technology and online platforms with significance.

I genuinely enjoy working together with the students. When I conducted a stone carving workshop at NIE( National Institute of Education) in Singapore, where I taught students how to transfer 2D ideas to 3D but carving directly onto limestone, it can be an upheaval task for students but to scaffold them to visualise their plan, see through the process from beginning to the end, problem-solving, tweaking, translating the 2D idea into 3D effectively, seeing them succeed and execute, gave me the feeling of satisfaction and joy. I realise then this is what I want to do, to teach. It was very different from an artist satisfaction.

My approach is to find out the strength as interest of my students and to guide them to develop them and also to work ideas and think through their narratives and purpose of their work of art or art project. It can also be skill based if the child wants to develop skills, or to facilitate help towards their academic but as well discover the artistic talent in them while working towards their academic projects.

Every student is different and I would contribute by imparting skills such as observation, analytical cognitive processes, technical ability such as drawing, painting, sculpting. Also, to help students consider the story and the art-making that would best express and communicate the intended narrative. Graduated as an Architect, I started working as a set designer with Art Director and Filmmaker Omung Kumar. A long-cherished dream of being a part of the Visual-Storytelling industry landed me to New York Film Academy, Los Angeles where I studied Film making- an absolute Visual Art form.

I have been an Associate Producer and Production Designer in an Indonesian web series '19 Letters' directed and produced by Dinda Unaroma.
I worked as a Graphic Designer, illustrator and Art Director in the prestigious US based magazines like 'Vanichi Fashion' and 'Impact Relevance Mag'

As they say ART knows no boundaries and I believe everything artistic is somewhat collaborative. During 2017 I along with my creative friends, we setup our own architecture and interior design firm 'Tales & Details'. In T&D we have been successfully delivering the hospitality and residential projects based in the city of oranges Nagpur.

I am an RCA MA Painting graduate, and I have a BA(Hons) degree in Fine Art from Westminster University, and a Foundation diploma in Art & Design from the University for the Creative Arts. I am a practicing artist based in London, specializing in painting, and I have been showing my work nationally and internationally. My recent solo show was at Class Reiss London, and I also had a solo presentation at Art Athina. My fascination with tutoring derives from my sensitivity around learning disabilities, something which is a recurring theme in my practice as I grew up as a dyslexic learner, as well as my educational experience of being part of leading academic UK institutions.

I am an active artist with decades of experience and a studio in the Southeast London area.
Classically educated to Masters level and able to utilise different mediums and techniques to produce paintings, sculptures or models.
I specialise in oil on canvas and have a style described as a mixture of Monet and Constable.
I also possess my own DIY handmade roto casting machine for producing plaster and resin models.

Painting has always been my favourite medium. Still-life, landscapes, portraits, anything. However, I have an affinity towards boats, animals, wildlife, and nature in general.
