I am a London-based artist, with a BA from the Slade and an MA from the Royal College of Art. I exhibit regularly with galleries in the UK and abroad. Residencies include the Abbey Fellowship at the British School at Rome and Palazzo Monti. I have been shortlisted for Bloomberg New Contemporaries and the John Moores Painting Prize. In my studio practice I use a range of painting mediums and approaches, including oils, watercolour and fresco.

My approach is to work out what the student's needs are, through listening, rather than trying to impose a particular idea. Originally a ceramic designer working in the pottery industry I am based in Stoke on Trent. I worked for The Wedgwood group producing designs for companies, airlines and hotels such as The Waldorf, Langhams, Marks and Spencer and Concorde.
Having retired from designing and teaching I now love to paint, usually in large format and in acrylic. I also enjoy oil, watercolour and pastel chalks. My sketchbook follows me wherever I go.

I have been teaching art for nearly 20 years. I teach drawing, painting and sculpture. I also teach papier-mâché technique to make masks and puppets.

I am a professional Theatre Stage and Costume Designer (M.F.A. graduated in 2004), and I have worked in many theatre productions in UK and abroad, as a stage, set and costume designer as well as a puppet maker. My latest theatre design works (in 2018) are with Xameleon Theatre Productions in London: "The Little Prince" (after Saint-Exupéry`s tale), "Heart of a Dog" (Mikhail Bulgakov) - in both productions I made stage, props and costume design.

I am an RCA MA Painting graduate, and I have a BA(Hons) degree in Fine Art from Westminster University, and a Foundation diploma in Art & Design from the University for the Creative Arts.
