I am a London-based artist, with a BA from the Slade and an MA from the Royal College of Art. I exhibit regularly with galleries in the UK and abroad. Residencies include the Abbey Fellowship at the British School at Rome and Palazzo Monti. I have been shortlisted for Bloomberg New Contemporaries and the John Moores Painting Prize. In my studio practice I use a range of painting mediums and approaches, including oils, watercolour and fresco.

I teach Drawing and Painting in all mediums. For eight years I was a Core Tutor on the Foundation Year at the Royal Drawing School (now part of the King's Foundation). This involved leading painting workshops, one-to-one tutorials and portfolio guidance.

I have taught art to people of all ages, though predominantly to teenagers and young adults.

Tutoring Approach:
My approach is to work out what the student's needs are, through listening, rather than trying to impose a particular idea. Having said that, I would generally encourage drawing and painting from observation, at least as a foundation for other projects. My strengths are in painting with water colour, oil and acrylic, as well as drawing. I am able to help students build on their understanding of art history and I can give advice and guidance on any written work.

I genuinely enjoy working together with the students. When I conducted a stone carving workshop at NIE( National Institute of Education) in Singapore, where I taught students how to transfer 2D ideas to 3D but carving directly onto limestone, it can be an upheaval task for students but to scaffold them to visualise their plan, see through the process from beginning to the end, problem-solving, tweaking, translating the 2D idea into 3D effectively, seeing them succeed and execute, gave me the feeling of satisfaction and joy. I realise then this is what I want to do, to teach. It was very different from an artist satisfaction.

My approach is to find out the strength as interest of my students and to guide them to develop them and also to work ideas and think through their narratives and purpose of their work of art or art project. I am an RCA MA Painting graduate, and I have a BA(Hons) degree in Fine Art from Westminster University, and a Foundation diploma in Art & Design from the University for the Creative Arts. I am a practicing artist based in London, specializing in painting, and I have been showing my work nationally and internationally. My recent solo show was at Class Reiss London, and I also had a solo presentation at Art Athina. Based on my volunteering experience I can introduce my self as an arts and craft tutor. The materials I use in my art sessions varies from normal stationery, paper, air dry clay and fabric and the projects I have done with my students are Abstract art, paper and fabric collage, air dry clay sculpturing and lots of other miscellaneous, random recycled stuff.

Armley Park Primary School where I secured a lunch time assistant job. Here I earned the most valuable bit for my community experience working with children. My work at school was nothing to do with studied or lesson my involvement with children was when it was play time and lunch time. I could estimate a child's potential and allotted them some games. The best part was we could create any silly game and customised our own rules. In the dinning hall I helped the tiny new comers settle down and eat their lunch.
