I work as a practicing artist, lecturer and illustrator I feel extremely lucky have been able throughout my working life to combine two of my favourite things, art & nature.

My award winning work has sold widely across the UK and in the USA. Careful study, thoughtful composition, and atmosphere are the key elements that go into my personal work.

I have been an external examiner for several programmes and I am currently a certfied moderator for Access to HE Art, Design & Media Diplomas through Ascentis.

Teaching Experience:
dI have over 25 years experience teaching degree level, HND and ND levels of illustration, drawing and illustration industrial placement. More recently I have collaborated to design workshops and short courses in art and illustration, working with organisations and individuals. I have now just moved West to the Stroud area and am looking for new students and opportunities to share my passion for painting and all things creative. I have an up to date criminal record (DBS) check and I work as a GCSE Art exam moderator every summer so I`m very familiar with the latest requirements from the exam boards and course curricula. I am also an artist, selling paintings locally through various galleries, a writer and the illustrator of several published books. I`m the author of two books: `Soul Color, a ten week course on watercolour painting to cultivate creativity and mindfulness`, and `Earth Color, an eight week art course for nature connection`. I have also guided and helped friends and contacts with their applications to UK Art Schools and universities. I am particularly keen to continue this and help with portfolio preparation to Art Foundations and Undergraduate courses.

Tutoring Approach:
My approach is careful and creative, i hope to inspire whilst also directing pupils in the direction that is best for them. I have an in depth knowledge and first hand experience on gaining admission to UK Art Schools and i am keen to share my experience and knowledge to other young artists who are hoping to pursue a career in the arts. I can help with portfolio preparation for Arts foundations and Undergraduate courses.
