I have obtained my Law Degree LLB (Hons) from Wolverhampton University. In addition, I have obtained a Certificate in Social Science from Brunel University West London. I completed the Bar Professional Training Course in Cyprus since 2012 and I am currently practising Law in Scotland as a European Union Lawyer. I have been working for one of the biggest international based law firms in Cyprus as a Senior Associate and Head of the Corporate Department.

In the interim while working as a lawyer, my thirst for knowledge and to better myself I studied Accounting and Book keeping - LCCI. I have completed the course with a Distinction grade in all of the levels (Elementary, Intermediate and Higher).

I can assure you that apart from my academic qualifications and eight years of experience as a lawyer, my interest in Law goes far beyond the material that I have been taught. I like exploring, being updated and learning new areas of law, cases and legislation.

Greek is my native language. Despite Cyprus being my country of origin, I have been living in the UK since 2007 and I am fluent in English.

I have experience of working in one of the big 4 Accounting firms as well as industry as a qualified Accountant. Tutoring comes natural to me,with years of experience under my belt . I have done classroom teaching of A level students on a part time basis where i taught Accounting, i have also done one on one tutoring for subjects like Maths , English at primary level. I have experience teaching students from primary level from year 4 to year 11 up to A level as well as professional level. I understand that Accounting can be a difficult subject to master, with its own unique language and techniques, and I am able to explain topics clearly and patiently. I believe that interactive lessons are key to success and that learning comprises both explanation and practise. I can help students to overcome their anxiety about this subject and, through improved knowledge and understanding, increase their confidence. I am very familiar with the AQA specification, having attended relevant training sessions, and I know what's needed to achieve high marks on exam questions. I have an excellent track record of exam results, with most students achieving very high grades and progressing to their preferred university. I have a degree from the University of Warwick, and I am a fully qualified accountant (CIMA). I have 8 years of prior experience working in Finance in industry, including Cadbury Ltd and KPMG. I believe that the key to successful tutoring is to listen to what a student needs, and then to respond by providing support and guidance that target those particular areas. A key component of tutoring is explaining key terms and concepts and answering questions. Practise is vital in A-Level Accounting, and so I provide lots of opportunity for the tutee to answer accounting questions. I provide support during this, and feedback. Developing a good working relationship with the student is very important - the tutee needs to trust me to do a good job. I have three years experience of tutoring and marking. Prior to that I have 30 years of real-life experience in accounting and finance. This gives me the edge when making accounting, economics and business studies understandable to students.

My first degree in International History and Politics included Economics as a subsidiary. My professional accountancy qualifications are postgraduate level qualifications in accountancy. An additional bonus is that I hold a second degree level qualification in teaching English, which is an Ofqual regulated teaching qualification. My accountancy, business and economics students will receive coaching about how to ensure their answers are well-written and logical. This can lead to higher scores.

Tutoring Approach:
My students describe me as professional, approachable and driven. I coach adults over 18 online and resit students are welcome. I have great material including past papers. When we first meet we will discuss your learning needs so that I can develop a personalised learning plan for you. During each class, I initially explain the concept, then we work on a task together. As the next step the student tries an independent activity (often a past test question), then receives feedback from myself.

As a way to consolidate knowledge, I offer to set and mark an appropriate homework task for every booked lesson. This is optional, some students prefer to book more lessons!
