I am currently working as a Financial Controller of a very reputed not-for-profit organisation which is creating a true impact in the lives of everyone in the UK. I have been tutoring for the last 20 odd years privately and now want to do it to reach more students.

Explain till the time the concept is not clear. There is no need to rush. I believe that the minute you understand a topic, you will be able to master it with proper practice. I believe that there are no stupid questions and I make my students feel comfortable to ask me questions related to the subject as many times as possible.
