Personal Description:
I have over 13 years of experience teaching languages, and hold a PGCE & Master's degree in teaching from the University of Oxford. I have taught French and Spanish to GCSE and A-level, always securing excellent results for my students. Outside of lessons, I keep fully up-to-date with the cultures of the languages I teach through my love of travelling, reading and the cinema. I am also a keen student of Japanese.

Teaching Experience:
I have taught for over 13 years in Good and Outstanding London secondary schools, and also work as an exam board marker, ensuring I am fully up-to-date with all exam specifications at GCSE and A level. I also have experience training teachers at one of the UK's leading universities. I have extensive experience as a tutor delivering online lessons. Motivation is key, and for this reason I prepare bespoke lessons to engage and interest my students, making use of authentic resources wherever possible. My approach caters for the balanced development of all four skills of listening, speaking, reading and writing.

My name is Oyinkansola Davina. I am 189years of age and am currently studying International Relations at Richmond the American International University. I finished my secondary school in Nigeria but previously I schooled in the United Kingdom.

Teaching Experience:
I do not have any but I have worked with children before and helped in tutoring my family members.

Tutoring Approach:
Talking to parents to find out and work through the child's problem and take it step by step until they understand and branch out into other problems. Not to pressure the child into something they can not handle or making the frustrated but instead make it fun and understanding for the child.

I am a current A-level Chemistry and Biology examiner and author of A level Biology exam papers as well as textbooks and workbooks. I have worked in bioscience research and more recently in life science marketing and academic conference management in chemistry and biochemistry. I am a Chartered Chemist, Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry and committee member of the Protein & Peptide Science Group of the Royal Society of Chemistry.

I now offer tuition exclusively online, using the Zoom platform.

Teaching Experience:
I have many years' experience in one-to-one teaching, starting with giving undergraduate tutorials at the University of Oxford. I have been offering private tuition in A-level Chemistry and Biology for over 10 years.

I am able to tailor my teaching style to the individual needs of the student and to make best use of online and other electronic resources to help students to an understanding of the subject.

Tutoring Approach:
I start by identifying the particular needs of the student: do they have problems with understanding some or all of the subject; are there any areas of weakness that need to be strengthened; are there issues with exam technique that need to be addressed?

Even well taught students who have a good grasp of the subject can fail to achieve their full potential through poor exam technique. My earlier experience as a Chief Examiner, responsible for setting and marking A level exams, means that I have a detailed knowledge of the exam system and how students need to approach exam papers. My current examining experience has given me an insight into how to help students avoid unnecessary loss of marks by developing clear and rigorous approaches to their answers and to develop strategies to approach individual questions so as to maximise their performance.

I lived and worked in France and am keen to pass on my love for the language and culture of this fascinating country. I am fluent in French and have an MA in French studies. I love all things French - music, history, culture - and I love to communicate this in my teaching. I am good-humoured and patient in my approach to tutoring and love to encourage my students to try new things in their learning.

Teaching Experience:
I have taught all level of learners from little ones to GCSE students through to adult learners. I have been teaching for 10 years and have built up a wealth of experience and can recommend websites and links that will be of use to lots of different levels. I have paid for access to a language learning website and I invite my learners to register through the links I send (this is free for students - I have paid for the access).

Tutoring Approach:
My approach is very much to ensure that you are comfortable with the learning environment. I use the Gianfranco Conti method of teaching which means that I encourage speaking and listening in our classes, however, I do back this up with writing and reading exercises so that all the 4 skills (reading, writing, speaking and listening) are practised in my lessons.
I work with the student to make sure that we are approaching the learning that you need in a very proactive way.

For example: for beginner adults we can look at:

For more advanced adult learners we can look at
- tourist attractions/describing people and places/asking for more information
For GCSE students we can look at:
- key vocab in the exam/pas papers/key grammar structures/speaking exercises/picture card exercises

I am a Polish native speaker who did a degree in Spanish at the University of Sheffield. I am passionate about foreign languages.

Teaching Experience:
I have been teaching Spanish, English as a foreign language, and Polish for many years in high schools (as a Modern Foreign Languages Teaching Assistant), privately, and in further education centres. My students come from diverse backgrounds and have varying abilities and learning needs.

Tutoring Approach:
I am a passionate linguist with 20 years of experience teaching languages. I love learning languages myself, and I regularly read research to improve my teaching methods. I believe constant quizzing and active recall are key to effective learning.

I am very patient and understanding, and I tailor my teaching approach to each student. This varies greatly depending on their experience (often negative), learning style, and individual needs. Together, we discover the best way to teach and learn in order to succeed.

I am currently teaching in Japan for one year until September. I have experience with all ages, and am a very approachable and friendly teacher! I have taught for a total of 4 years. I am currently teaching in Japan at an English Eikaiwa. I teach conversation classes to adults to improve their English greatly.
