I am an enthusiastic English tutor, taking a student-centred approach, assessing the needs of learners before targeting their weaknesses to help them achieve their goals. I have been described as "Reassuring. Gentle. Kind." and "Easy to talk to".

Teaching Experience:
I began teaching in colleges in 2002 and I have also worked in secondary schools. My roles have included lecturing in subjects that include GCSE English, Basic Skills, and Creative Writing. I also have experience of working in learning support.

Tutoring Approach:
As a tutor I aim to be helpful and supportive, assisting students in building on existing learning, or beginning from the basics. I prefer an informal but quiet setting for my tuition.

I'm Nonie. I'm originally from Taiwan. I have lived and studied in several countries and speak several languages. I speak fluent Mandarin, Taiwanese, English and Japanese. I also speak conversational German and Spanish. I haven't stopped learning languages because it's such a fun thing to do.

I have taught in junior school and secondary schools in England for a few years. Now I base in Wales. I work with Confucius Institute teachings students in University of Wales Trinity Saint David. I also give private lessons in person and online. Apart from that, from time to time, I work with the Reaching Wider Department of Swansea University, teaching Mandarin, the culture and the art of writing such as Chinese Calligraphy to pupils of different ages.

I would love to be able to share my language learning and teaching experiences with whoever finds learning languages difficult, especially with the ones who find reading and writing Chinese impossible.

There are many ways that you can learn Mandarin. I assure you that you'd not just be writing characters but singing and playing games with me. You will have access to the learning materials online and on apps. Whenever you have time, you'd be able to access them and play the games. If you are almost giving it up, give me a shout and I might just get you back on track!

Teaching Experience:
I have been teaching Mandarin to adults for years. Currently I am teaching Mandarin at high schools in London and also teaching private students from age 6.

Tutoring Approach:
Apart from text books, I use traditional games, board games, songs and other activities to help students learning. I share my language learning skills with my students and break down words for them so it is easier for them to understand and remember.

I'm a college student studying Mathematics with previous tutoring experience and a great deal of passion for my course. I'm very friendly and patient with a strong work ethic, maths is an incredibly diverse area of study and there are countless numbers of ways to learn it at a pace and method suitable for any student. I am an RCA MA Painting graduate, and I have a BA(Hons) degree in Fine Art from Westminster University, and a Foundation diploma in Art & Design from the University for the Creative Arts. I am a practicing artist based in London, specializing in painting, and I have been showing my work nationally and internationally. My recent solo show was at Class Reiss London, and I also had a solo presentation at Art Athina. My fascination with tutoring derives from my sensitivity around learning disabilities, something which is a recurring theme in my practice as I grew up as a dyslexic learner, as well as my educational experience of being part of leading academic UK institutions.
