I am a fully qualified registered primary school teacher. I have been teaching for 18 years as a key stage 2 teacher. I am also foundation trained.

I have taught all subjects across the curriculum. I specialise in Maths and English. I am experienced in teaching children with a range of different learning abilities and confidence issues and have taught children who have additional learning needs.

I am able to encourage children to become more confident with their school work by explaining how to complete tasks using different strategies. I come to teaching from a commercial rather than academic background. I worked in music publishing and for an Indian furniture and design business for many years before qualifying as a mature student from the Institute of Education, UCL in 2013 with a PGCE (maths) at level seven since when I have been teaching GCSE maths to adults at various colleges around London including City of Islington College, South Thames College, Adult Learning Lewisham and Westminster Adult Education Services where I was nominated for Teacher of the Year.
As well as my PGCE I have A level mathematics and began a music degree at Goldsmiths thirty years ago but did not complete it. As part of my CPD I completed the GCSE Maths Enhancement Program at the IOE and Pearson's Preparing to Teach the new GCSE (9-1) Syllabus.
