Hi! I'm Aman, a young and enthusiastic tutor who's currently studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of Nottingham. I've recently sat the newly reformed GCSE and A-Level curriculum so I'm fully aware of the style of teaching and help required to excel in Mathematics. I have a MA in Production Design for Film and Television from Kingston University and a BA Hons in Furniture Design and Applied Arts from Edinburgh College of Art. I have worked in the film and television industry since 2004. I lead large teams of specialist designers, art directors, junior assistants, crafts people and construction teams. And I collaborate closely with other experts within the industry including cinematographers, directors and screenwriters.

A production designer designs the worlds in which the TV Drama or film is set. That includes working with location people to choose locations in which to film - and building sets in studios. It can also involve working closely with SFX teams. The role juggles creative vision with practical project management. It's a collaborative media/ industry and relies heavily on communication skills- visual and verbal.

In these cases, my role is to help students adapt and refine their existing abilities to meet the specific demands of their exam board. This is about developing the know-how to turn strong English into high-scoring exam responses: understanding the assessment objectives in detail, recognising precisely what each objective requires, and learning how to shape writing so that it consistently targets and fulfils them.
