Hello, my name is Angel, I am a qualified teacher of Psychology and Languages (Spanish and French). I have a BSc in Psychology, an MA in Psychoanalysis and Philosophy, an MA in Languages and Translation, an MA in English Literature, and a Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training. My approach is tailored to my students' needs and level. For languages, I have a number of adult students who want to improve their language skills with a view to travelling or working abroad. My main focus in language tutoring is on communication: my classes are designed to recreate real-life situations in which the foreign language is required. My classes include role play to recreate these situations. I also have experience in preparing students for official examinations, and business and academic needs. I always take the time to discuss your requirements with you to work out a programme that will best suit your needs and your particular interests.

For students preparing external examinations, my classes are based on the exam specification and exam skills. Depending on the student's requirements, we revise and cover content as well as practising structured essay writing and exam skills.

Tutoring Approach:
I have a humanistic approach when it comes to teaching. Having taught large classes in the past, i much prefer the focus of a one-on-one class. I work at my student's pace, only moving on when he/she is ready.

I offer tuition in maths up to and including Maths and Further Maths A-levels. I coach for university entrance exams such as Oxford's MAT and Cambridge's STEP. I also offer coaching for Numeracy and Numerical Reasoning tests such as SHL recruitment selection tests. I believe that learning can combine fun and practical skills, such as self-editing, lateral thinking and creativity. These skills will help students pass formal exams through overall writing confidence.

Students need to enjoy the subject in order to understand it fully. When they approach questions from a position of confidence and relaxation, they can answer them more effectively. This sometimes involves discussion of the topics involved, especially when studying literature.

A tutor works best when they are providing an alternative to school-based education and a good tutor will enable their student to explore around a topic and to discuss any particular issues and concerns.

In 2015 I graduated from Queen's University Belfast with an undergraduate degree in Law with Politics. In 2017 I graduated with a Postgraduate Diploma in Professional Legal Studies from Queen's University Belfast again, before being called to the Bar of Northern Ireland in September 2017.

Teaching Experience:
I was part of the teaching team for both European Law modules at Queen's University Belfast for four years. I helped deliver both the European Constitutional Law module to students of all levels in the first academic term, and the European Internal Market Law module in the second term. My introduction to tutoring came through successfully helping my sons through their A-levels in Maths, Further Maths and Physics.
