Personal Description:
I am a retired graphic designer/partner in design consultancies and magazine art director, now a painter and photographer.

I have exhibited in the Painters Hall, Guildhall Gallery, Oxford Art Fair and Dorking Group of Artists.

I have taken a number of photographic portraits and commercial commissions and photographed for annual reports and printed materials.

Teaching Experience:
I have been a visiting lecturer to a number of Universities, Art and Graphic Design and Digital photography.

These include University of Surrey, Hull, Falmouth, Croydon and Hull.

Tutoring Approach:
ART: I like to find out as much as I can about my students before beginning to teach them. I like to meet them and see their portfolios. My first duty is to make sure that drawing is taught to an academic standard before more creative work is undertaken. Mostly I teach representative art but am happy to encourage abstract and conceptual work.

PHOTOGRAPHY: I have a wide experience of taking and manipulating digital imagery. I have an understanding of chemical photography techniques that are transferred to Photoshop and RAW imaging.

Personal Description:
I'm an English teacher who also loves to learn. For fun I like to dress up as a Tudor and take part in Living History events. I also very much like to take my slightly dopey dog to the beach where I regularly need to prevent her swimming to France!

Teaching Experience:
My first experience of teaching was through home-educating my daughter from when she was 6 through to GSCE-level. I then went on to do a PGCE in Lifelong Learning (post-16 education) during which time I taught a range of business and tourism modules. Since completing my PGCE I have completed short-term contracts teaching English as a Foreign Language. Presently, I work part-time as an enabler for physically and/ or mentally disabled students in higher education and part-time as a private tutor.I have experience tutoring adult learners, home-educated students (i.e. delivery of full syllabus) and students who are at school but need additional subject help, for example with exam preparation. I currently teach English as a foreign language at a school in Cardiff.

I understand how important it is to have a supportive and patient teacher who is willing to answer any question any number of times until the student 'gets it' and that's what I am always prepared to do. I am native Spanish speaker and I qualified as a Spanish Language Teacher in September 1986 and began my professional career working for a school in Spain. During that years I became increasingly experienced dealing with students of all ages and levels. I was teaching there for eight years, in 1998 I decided to move in London and here I qualified as a Foreign Language Teacher and started teaching from 2000, working with kids, young and adults for corporations and individuals.
Also, I have experienced with students with special needs, autistic Spectrum and dyslexia.

Hi! I'm currently studying Economics at The University of Portsmouth. I'm a competitive table tennis player and love to play football whenever I can. My true passion, however, is tutoring as I feel it is my life's purpose to assist others in helping them to achieve their goals.

-I first tutored at my secondary school's KS3 Maths programme called Route 121, where I first became inspired to become the best tutor possible.

-Due to my performance as a tutor, the school later paid me to teach maths to underachieving students at GCSE.

-The next year, I was appointed as 'Head of Mathematics' at Route 121, where I had the responsibility of training around 40 Maths tutors from the year below, creating suitable maths materials for them to use, and overseeing the sessions to help with any issues they had.

Every time I tutor, I make it my aim to be as approachable as possible. I always try to explain everything clearly and stress the importance of asking questions about the subject no matter how unrelated they may seem at the time.
