In eight short weeks I was able to help this student achieve the desired A-grade she had hoped for, improving by a massive two grades. The final week of this scheme involved teaching in Nene Park Academy in Peterborough and I was able to give a year 9 class a mathematics lesson.

I spent 25 years as a career scientist working in research in the field of Child Health at the University of Manchester. My first degree was in Physiology and Zoology and my doctorate is in molecular biology and membrane transport.

I have delivered personal science tuition to students from14-54 years of age over a period of 20 years. I have extensive experience of teaching both small groups and 1:1, including ESL students.
