My tutoring style is to concentrate on building pupils confidence through use of encouragement and praise. As Literacy Leader of Learning for 6 years, I championed innovative approaches to reading and writing across the curriculum.
Teaching Experience:
For the past six years, my role has been Challenge Leader of Learning/Principal Teacher in a large school in the West End of Glasgow. Through the Literacy for All CPD training and guidance courses that I have attended, my remit has been to improve reading, writing , talking and listening as part of the Scottish Attainment Challenge with the focus on giving all children the same opportunity to succeed, with a particular focus on closing the poverty related attainment gap and promote equity for all.
