I have a degree in Physics and Mathematics from University of Reading. I have a PGCE teaching qualification from UWIC.

Previously taught for five years at Y Pant comprehensive, where I gained experience teaching Science (11-16), Physics (AS and A2) and Mathematics (GCSE).

I was formerly a GCSE Examiner. Now, I am exclusively an A level physics tutor, with over 10 years experience.

I have an MA in Classical Philology and Russian Studies from the University of St Petersburg and am qualified to teach Russian, French, English and Latin. Since graduating in 1978 I have worked extensively in language teaching and translation / interpreting. I have also worked in France for 3 years and attended an interpreting school in Paris (ISIT - Institut Superieur d' Interpretation et de Traduction). Tutoring Approach:
I do my best to give the student a good grounding in grammar which is a key to understanding and fluency whatever the language. I encourage students to listen to radio programmes in the target language, watch newsreports on television etc as it is a great learning tool. I feel passionate about languages myself and find teaching highly enjoyable.

I have been teaching for 21 years in an independent school and I am also a Team Leader and examiner for Edexcel Pearson and AQA exam boards. My name is Christina and I am a native Greek speaker. I have a great interest in the interaction between student-teacher and I always enjoy all the new things that I learn from my students. I am very experienced in teaching having coached volleyball for the past 6 years. Working with children from ages 10 all the way up to members of the university team. Γεια σου! My name is Christina and I am a passionate native Modern Greek Teacher. My background from my graduate Classical studies as well as my postgraduate Moral Philosophy/Ethics studies,in combination with QTS certificate and me being an Examiner associate, gave me the chance to work with everything that I love, hence teaching Modern Greek as a second language.

Languages and psychology are my passions. I enjoy learning languages (as well as the languages listed below, I have started learning some Arabic, Norwegian, Japanese, Spanish and Italian) and this has enabled me to try many different methods of learning a foreign language, which I can pass on to students to see which works best for them. My CELTA level 5 qualification in teaching English as a foreign language included teaching students of different ages and abilities from around the world via zoom. My students were very engaged in their lessons and weren't afraid to have a go even if it meant making a mistake, as I am able to ensure a relaxed and safe atmosphere in the classroom (or virtual classroom).
