My name is Rajindel. I am a fully qualified ESOL and RE secondary teacher. I have been in education for over 15 years. I have experience with different ages and my passion is teaching ESOL to any learner who requires help and support with the English language. I can teach IELTS English, ESOL courses to adults and children, Cambridge First Certificate, Functional Skills English, English at primary and secondary level which is KS1, 2 and 3 and I also teach general English to improve ones language.
My teaching method is initially teacher centred then predominantly student centred. Teaching methods can include paper based tasks, use of a tablet for English games, puzzles and listening tasks, question and answer tasks and having a natural conversation with the student is the best way to improve a students natural fluency.

Hi there!
My name is Beth, I am currently studying Mechanical Engineering at the University of Nottingham. I managed to receive 8 grade 9s during my GCSEs and 1 grade 8, as well as 3 As in my A levels (Maths, Physics and Graphic Communications). In the future I'm hoping to work in robotics/prosthetics, and I have such a genuine interest in both maths and physics (especially space and quantum!). I also love cooking and playing basketball.

Teaching Experience:
On top of my tutoring experience, I've just returned from my second year working at a youth summer camp in Canada. Here I was required to teach the kids wilderness survival skills, swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, arts and crafts, and plenty more! In the first lesson, I would give the pupils an assessment, which allows me to identify their gaps in the curriculum. I would then focus on filling the gaps in future tuition sessions. In the beginning of each lesson, pupils are tested on prior knowledge to ensure they can recall the information.

I break down a topic or question into smaller parts, and ensure pupils can then confidently apply the skill they have learnt to future questions. I use a variety of resources and teaching methods, making learning accessible for all.

My techniques involve exposing students to exam style questions throughout the tutoring experience to ensure they can apply the knowledge they have learnt. Other methods I use are spot the mistake, underlining key parts of a question, and linking topics to prior information.

I can set homework at the end of each session if the pupil wishes me to do so. Parents/carers are given feedback at the end of each session to ensure they are kept up to date.
