Hello, I am a lecturer, writer and tutor based in Bristol. I enjoy working with students from many backgrounds and countries.

I currently work part-time in two Universities, and have been teaching for nearly ten years. I can help you revise for exams, with assignments and dissertations.

I like tutoring as I get to speak to interesting people who face a variety of academic challenges. In the past I have helped people online and over the phone, through Skype and face to face meetings.

Teaching Experience:
Before teaching I worked in publishing and journalism. I have written a book called 'How to work as a freelance journalist' and I used to manage a magazine so also have lots of practical business experience too.

I teach journalism, business and employability. Mostly tutees I meet want help with specific things such as revising for exams or completing a difficult assignment. Often it is a case of working together to help improve your grades and reach deadlines.

I have taught students from all over the world including China, Malaysia and Qatar. I enjoy meeting new people and am keen to make sure that you get what you want from tutoring.

I am currently studying for a Diploma in CPLHE (Certificate in Professional Learning and Higher Education).

Tutoring Approach:
Through this site I have worked with students to complete assignments, dissertation proposals, catch up on missed work, or understand academic ideas that they were struggling with.

I have also worked with many students via email and telephone. This means that you can tackle a little bit at a time, and save yourself money.

Hi. My name is Saif and I presently work as the Assistant Head of Science responsible for Chemistry at a school in London. I teach sciences at KS3, KS4 and deliver the 'A' Level Chemistry curriculum at KS5. I read Medicinal Chemistry at University College London and completed a PGCE in Science upon graduation. I studied Chemistry, Biology, Physics and Mathematics at 'A' Level and achieved very strong grades in all four subjects.

I very much enjoy working with other people and passing on what I have learnt. I find it wonderful seeing people with that lightbulb moment when everything just clicks into place. I work in my local area of Plymouth and online. I use Skype and gmail classroom but can download other software if required I also use an interactive whiteboard and two monitors to help facilitate a good working environment.

Teaching Experience:
I have over ten year's main stream teaching experience in a classroom environment and eight years as a tutor/specialist. I've taught Music, English, Science, Maths, Art and Primary (KS 1 - 5). I`ve run my own department. As I'm also a musician I've taught guitar, cello, violin, keyboards and music theory. I use many different approaches to encourage development. When you see someone understand, learn and expand it is (in my opinion) fantastic.
I'm experienced in working with SEN. I`ve achieved excellent results with pupils with specific learning difficulties and behavioural problems. My experiences in this area are in Down syndrome, dyslexia dyspraxia, ADHD, Asperger's, ASD, verbal dyspraxia and sensory processing disorder. I am currently studying my French degree and needed some help for my 2nd year core language and oral exams in which I struggled very much. I did very badly (20%) in my core language and similarly in the oral exam. I had around 1-2 weeks of sessions with Nicolas and I could not have asked for more. We did a few past papers. And even though we did not know what was likely to come up in the exam, he was very good at helping me pinpoint the important information in a passage and how to respond to the questions. Similarly with the oral part, he kept me on my toes by always speaking to me in French at the beginning of the sessions and throughout which was very helpful and providing me with core info of which I needed to speak about in the oral. Tutoring Approach:
I use the Direct Method or Communicative Method. It depends obviously on your level. I still provide explanations in English.

Very often ,many people's only previous experience of learning a language has been at school ,where a great deal of emphasis was placed with the purpose of passing an examination .However, teaching approaches to modern language training have changed enormously in recent years ,and as a result ,learning a language is now a lot more fun and a far more rewarding experience!

Languages are now widely taught using a method known as the Communicative Approach or Direct Method, whereby the teacher conducts the session almost entirely in the target language regardless of the student's level. I reckon it is the best way to immerse yourself into a new culture.

Of course, depending on your level, I will still give explanations and instructions in English for those wishing to do so.

While it may take getting used to initially, the method has proven to be highly effective and is adopted by language training organisation around the world.

Hi! I'm Rayyan- a second year architecture student at Cardiff University. As I did my A Levels and GCSEs in different schools, I am familiar with AQA and Edexcel exam boards. Teaching Experience:
I have enjoyed a varied career in law and criminal justice, and have over five years of experience in tutoring. This has included National Probation Service trained tutoring in accredited courses, lead tutoring on an award-winning course for the Trafford area teaching psycho-social and employability skills, and even, for over two years (inspired initially by the Pandemic!), teaching English, one-to-one, online to students of all ages and from all over the world.
