I am very passionate about travelling and find that my love for languages enables me to get the most out of my trips. I see languages as a key to unlocking different cultures and experiences that I may have may otherwise have missed out on.

Teaching Experience:
I have taught students aged between 12 and 80 from over 50 countries around the world. I have taught many different levels of German from ABC courses for students who could not read or write, up to advanced business courses.

As part of one of my roles I was involved with the German Immigration Ministry, which included providing courses and exams to people who wanted to live in Germany.

I can prepare students to take Test DaF,DSH and Zertifikat Deutsch exams.

I have been teaching languages for over 16 years now and I have lived and breathed the German culture for many years. This allows me to give students a real insight into the way of German life. I can use many real world examples in the way I deliver the course material, to help students better understand what is being taught to them.

My teaching is more focused in speaking. I do lots of exercises to make the student speak from lesson 1 and they do!

Hi. I'm a native Portuguese speaker from Portugal. I've been teaching European Portuguese in the UK for over 15 years, and for seven years at UK universities. I am a fully qualified Portuguese teacher (U. do Porto). I have a PhD in Portuguese studies. I was the main Portuguese language lecturer at the U. of Manchester for five years full-time, where I taught all levels of Portuguese language (A1/A2 - Beginners; B1/B2 - Intermediate; C1/C2 - advanced). I have 7 years full-time teaching experience of Portuguese at U.K. Russell Group Universities. I worked full-time for 5 years at the University of Manchester where I was the only full-time Portuguese language lecturer (16 weekly contact hours with language-specialist students), having left my teaching position to commence my fully-funded PhD studies. I have also taught in the evening and during lunch hours for a Beginners' Portuguese course in the University's Language Centre which targeted a wide range of students, including adult learners and students with no previous language learning and/or higher education experience. I have also marked my students' yearly exams, periodic written tests, essays and oral and listening exams.
