As well as my classroom teaching experience, I have worked as a laboratory researcher, science editor, and more recently as an independent advocate within the field of mental health. Additionally, I hold an undergraduate degree in genetics and a masters degree in psychology.

I am very friendly and approachable, and highly dedicated to my students - giving a lot of time and effort to ensure they are achieving their full potential. Within sessions, I provide solid structure and tailor my approach to their individual needs. I suggest work for completion outside of sessions and provide them with direction to develop their individual approach to learning and revision.

I am a qualified teacher, examiner, and assessment researcher. I have taught in state and independent schools for thirteen years and have offered tutoring for slightly longer. I have helped students secure entrance to many leading independent schools in the UK and abroad, and I also specialise in Oxbridge entrance processes as a former Oxbridge graduate myself.

My tutoring centres around science and business as I am qualified to teach these subjects, but I also develop students' wider study habits and introduce them to the most effective and evidence-based methods of studying. This can benefit all their studies in all of their subjects. I enjoy being able to identify the challenges students have with their studies and then working with them to help solve these problems. Currently I work on many Department for Education projects striving to improve the quality of education across the UK, particularly in the area of mental health and effective teaching. I also work as an education consultant delivering training internationally to students and teachers alike.

I am a supportive and encouraging tutor, with many years experience as a qualified teacher and many more as a private tutor on a 1:1/small group level. I am educated to Masters Level in Health Psychology and Education, so I am certainly no stranger to education myself!

With over 90 dissertations completed with a specialist in Qualitative Research (Critical Discourse Analysis, Grounded Theory, Thematic Analysis, Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis, Heuristic and Relational Analysis) all achieving 2/1's and above I can offer complete support.

I also provide essay support for students, teaching content style, how to research, reference and build an argument to achieve a good 2/1 with quick results or for the student who wants to learn about critical analysis and logic a more comprehensive support to gain a 1st.

My teaching experience is extensive, having taught at Kings on the Medical Course for a number of years, Birkbeck and SOAS as well as South Bank University. My expertise is in qualitative methods where I did one of the first phenomenological Doctorates looking at the lives of male substance users, whilst working with them therapeutically.

My approach to tutoring is drawn from Bruner, Vygotsky and Rogers, based upon scaffolding the student to build their confidence and expertise so they begin to develop their own expertise. Within an exam for example students require a deep knowledge of understanding of what is required and therefore need support to be able to do this. Essay writing requires a different set of skills, such as being able to research a topic and move to building an argument. For many students this requires considerable scaffolding at first.

I am a friendly and approachable teacher and examiner with over a decade of experience. I hold Masters degrees in Education and Public Health, and am working on my PhD in London. Originally from North America, I have lived and worked in London since 2010.

Teaching Experience:
I qualified as a teacher of Humanities and Social Sciences (focusing on History, Religious Studies, and Psychology) from McGill University in Montreal, Canada, before moving to the UK.

In my decade in London, I have taught Health and Social Care, Child Development, Psychology, and Religious Studies at GCSE and A-level equivalents (BTEC Levels 2 and 3 included), as well as tutored university students to support them with their writing and work on research methods.

Tutoring Approach:
I like to ask questions of the tutees to get them to think, but also to connect the work with what they may have already experienced. For example, when teaching Health and Social Care concepts, it is important to link this to the world around them, including what they may have seen recently in the news.

I would usually spend a few minutes at the beginning and end of each session just to check in with how the tutee is doing and what they would like to accomplish to make sure it is a productive session for them.

I've recently graduated from studying English at Exeter College, Oxford and have began teaching full time. I love reading, music, dancing and travel - mainly things that bring me closer to understanding and connecting with people. I am a Senior Psychology Lecturer at a distance-learning university, specialising in neuroscience and cyberpsychology, and eating disorders. I am passionate about supporting students to pursue psychology.

Teaching Experience:
My background includes a BSc in Psychology (first class with honours), and MSc in Health Psychology (with Distinction). Prior to my role as a Lecturer, I worked as a private tutor for three years for A-level students and undergraduates. I have a PhD in Philosophy from the University of Cambridge and I've taught students all the way from university to primary school in a number of subject areas. I also have an MPhil in Philosophy from Cambridge and a BA (Philosophy) /BSc (Biology) from the University of Auckland.

I am Mr Haig and been teaching A level Psychology, Sociology, Biology and GCSE Science teacher since 2019 in a prestigious school in St Albans. My classes are humorous, funny and almost immediately you are getting into Psychology and Science.
My students usually score from 65 to 79 in the exams (B to A*), except Bobby he scored 61 still B but could had done much better.

I have been teaching in Hertfordshire since 2019, St Albans. Before I thought in China for 2 years, where I learned how not to teach and what to avoid in classrooms. My multicultural background avoids the cultural bias and gender bias (girls are better in psychology).

I am using the AQA, Edexel, OCR boards as they are most common examination in the country. My classes are dynamic and full of energy. The experience that you will gather, will not just help you to pass the test with flying colours but also you will be able to explain simple psychological and science phenomena that occur in our day to day activities.
