Personal Description:
I want to motivate and empower my pupils to help them become the best that they can be. After five years working in various financial analysis roles across London, I have spent the last two years working for myself as a consultant for charities, Escape Room owners and creative entrepreneurs and as a tutor as well. I enjoy any opportunities to help others achieve their goals.

Teaching Experience:

I have been tutoring University students and adults in business subjects and Microsoft Excel for the past four years whilst working in Finance. Prior experience has also included children of ages 5-12 in groups and 1-1 tutoring at ages: 5-8 (for Maths and English) and 10 (for 11+ exams). Over the past few years, I have been tutoring my current tutee in English and Maths, first at primary school level and now beginning preparations for GCSE.

Tutoring Approach:

I tailor my tuition largely to the needs of the student, depending on their requirements and working style. However, my preferred method is to split each session into covering material being learned at school and taking short practice tests to assess weak areas and revise for exams. While tutoring to any required curricula I will also try to instil the love of a subject into a student by guiding them to other fascinating areas of the subject and discovering areas of interests to support the subject's framework.

Personal Description:
I am a CELTA-qualified English teacher with 15 years of teaching experience. I have a Master`s Degree in English Language and Literature and Teaching English as a Foreign Language. I provide face-to-face and online English lessons from Beginner to Advanced levels. I also provide FCE, CAE and IELTS exam classes. All sessions are tailored to your particular needs. Materials provided are included in the price.

Teaching Experience:

I obtained my Master`s degree in Hungary in 2001. I taught English as a Foreign Language in a high school in years 8 to 12 for a year in 2002/2003. From 2003 to 2008 I was teaching English as a foreign language in a secondary arts school in years 9 to 13. I was a class teacher for 4 years and I also acted as an interlocutor at A-level exams every year. I was interpreting on visits to our partner school in Florence and translated educational materials from English to Hungarian. From 2003 to 2004 I taught two evening classes a week in a language school. Ever since I finished my university studies, I have had private students of English. From teaching general English, through preparing students for their A-levels and language exams, I have also delivered conversational and specialist English classes too (e.g. Business English, English for Hospitality and Catering) In 2011, already living in London, I completed the CELTA course with the intention of teaching English to international students. After the course I have started teaching English according to the new method. My classes have been home-based one-to-one and online English classes. In August 2016 I joined Edgware Academy, a language school in Central London. Since then I have taught groups of all levels, from Beginner to Advanced. I have been teaching students from all over the world.
I have access to the school`s rich collection of teaching resources and continuously make use of online resources (texts, visuals, videos and exercises) available on the Internet.

Tutoring Approach:

I can help you improve your general English to sound more like a native speaker and sound more professional in the workplace, or prepare you for job interviews.
I am an approachable teacher who is a patient listener, reliable, understanding and encouraging.
My General English classes are highly communicative. I make sure to maximize student talking time through creative communicative activities. I equally focus on improving students` listening, reading and writing skills, as well as grammar and vocabulary.
I can help you prepare for the Cambridge language exams and IELTS. Once you become familiar with the exam structure and expectations, you will realise it is achievable. I will guide you through the preparation process.

Personal Description:
I am a maths tutor living and working in the Brixham area of Devon.

Teaching Experience:

I completed the GTP training in Mathematics through Exeter University in 2005 and taught in schools until 2012. Whilst teaching in schools I started private tuition from my home.

I now focus entirely on private maths tuition either online or from my home in Brixham, Devon.

My professional background is Engineering, (Bsc from Manchester University)

Tutoring Approach:

I focus on private tuition for GCSE and key stage 3 students. The majority of my tutees are taught from my home in Brixham when this is possible (we have a large conservatory which makes an ideal classroom!). Many most of my tutees are taught online via online platforms such as Google Meet, Skype and other electronic online white boards.

My students enjoy my style of teaching which is relaxed and non pressurising. They really get a boost in confidence from my lessons, particularly if they are preparing for examinations. Examination technique and practice is a key area of focus especially for those who find exams stressful. Breaking harder questions down into simple steps is an important element for them to help their understanding and improve their confidence.

Personal Description:
Premier support across exam technique, content understanding, and essay writing from a published former UN Economist and government consultant.

Looking for targeted entrance exam support or a stable mentor throughout your A-Level or IB Economics journey? I am a proven tutor with some available spaces remaining for weekly sessions from September to the end of the current academic year. As a full-time tutor, I have enhanced flexibility and on request I can offer intensive crash-course sessions for students on study leave.

I am a former United Nations economist and Government consultant, now focussed on making a direct difference through education. I always offer a free consultation before the first lesson, to understand my clients' needs and to ensure our learning styles fit. My specialist subject is Economics at IB and A Level across the CIE, AQA, WJEC, and Edexcel exam boards. I hold a First in Economics from a Russell Group university and achieved straight A's and A*'s in my GCSEs and A Levels.

Teaching Experience:

I have tutored Maths and Economics since 2021, and in that time have received 100% positive feedback from my clients who often go from fail-grades to As and beyond in short timescales. I have also taught English as a second language and Maths in several parts of the world, including Nepal, China, and Thailand.

Tutoring Approach:

I have taught various subjects as a private tutor since 2021, but I specialise in Economics. My lessons are highly interactive for maximum engagement, and I generally require students to have an iPad, tablet, or touchscreen laptop. In all initial lessons, I discuss with the student and/or their parent the student's needs and goals, identifying any weak spots in content knowledge or technique.

My lessons are almost always 90 minutes long, as I find this helps students get into a rhythm of learning and improves content retention. I use a structured but adaptable approach, tailoring each session to the student's progress. A typical lesson includes a brief recap of previous material, interactive problem-solving, and targeted exercises to reinforce key concepts. I also incorporate exam-style questions where relevant, ensuring students develop both knowledge and technique.

I believe in fostering an encouraging and supportive learning environment, helping students build confidence in their abilities. My teaching style is patient and student-centred, and I adjust explanations to suit individual learning styles. Whether working towards exams, strengthening general understanding, or tackling specific problem areas, I aim to make learning enjoyable and effective.

With my years of experience tutoring students from diverse backgrounds, I have developed strategies to simplify complex topics and make them accessible. Many of my students have significantly improved their grades and confidence, and I take pride in seeing their progress.

If you're looking for engaging and tailored tutoring, I'd be happy to help!
