Personal Description:

I am currently a full time student at University College London studying Hebrew. I have a Cambridge accredited CELTA qualification in teaching English as a foreign language. I think it is important that every student can receive a patient, inspiring and confidence-building learning experience from a teacher who knows their subject well. I would be happy to try and fulfil this role in someone's learning either as a support to their current learning or a teacher in my own right. My strengths are languages, art and history.

Teaching Experience:

I taught English for one year in China at a Vocational school in Gansu. I also taught many one to one lessons during my time there as well as classes. I have spent one month teaching s Language School in Highgate, London.

Tutoring Approach:

First of all, it is important to identify which level the student is at. The next stage is to recognise the strengths and problem areas of the student. I would then gear the lesson towards working on the issue areas. If it is a long term teaching appointment, I would possibly ask what the student was hoping to achieve from the lessons. I would then structure and plan the lessons to achieve these goals.
